my cc limit is at 14k. my interest rate is high because i have a rewards card (hopefully that's the reason) but i never pay any because i always pay my total balance.

Honda Finance wouldn't let me put a downpayment on a card using a credit card. They cap it at like 1-2K and the rest has to be paid with some sort of cheque or money transfer, etc.

Sooo. ive heard mixed things about honda loans... Do they give good rate to ppl w bad credit or better ratesto ppl with good credit... Heres what im looking at when i go to the dealer this week...

I had bad credit, but paid off all debts from my past ( goin back to 98 )

I have made all my car loan payments on time for 11 months

i have made all my CC payments on time and in full for 6 months

I was approved and recieved a CC for $5000 @ 0% interest for 1 1/2 yrs and 8.0% after that..

My credit score was 620 before all i just mentioned

You should be fine. A 620 credit score BEFORE all of that is still in the "good" range. Just depends on how many charge-offs and 90+ days late you have. Good luck.

Travel Value Card $20K limit, 7.5%. APR is anual percentage rate. Take that rate divide it by 12, and you get your monthly percentage rate. That rate is used to determine how much the bank charges for basically having a loan with them. Afterall a CC is just an expensive loan. You pay in this case .625 on what ever balance is on the card if it's not paid off each month. Your grace period is usually 28 days or less, if there is a balance on there the interest is charged and added to the balance for the next year.

The kind of card you own should have nothing to do with the interest rate. Travel cards usually have an annual fee for the service but if the bank is telling you the rates are higher because of that, you shouldn't use them.

Carefull on the 0% introductory rate, those are usually only good for balance transfers meaning you are closing another card down and transfering that to their card. It's an incentive because most people who do that, don't pay it off after that 12 month period.

Honda isn't letting you charge more because VISA charges the dealer 3% of that transaction. If you put 4000 on the card for the car, they have to pay visa 120 bucks for that.

I don't know what kind of rate you'll get by yourself.. but this is what I did with my 7th gen. I have bad credit, I don't know how but I do :/
I got a cosigner and kept her on there for 13 months, then refinanced at the same intrest rate I got w/my cosigner, which was 3.9%. The least I've payed on any of my payments has been $50 over, and for some reason I still have bad credit. The only outstanding debt that I have is a hospital bill from the day after my 18th b-day that wasn't supposed to go on my name anyways. They gave me morphine before I signed papers so **** that. I thought I was in a spelling bee

the black card is my goal. I have a Platunim Mastercard from USAA right now with a $10,000 Limit. I am a 20 year old and my Credit score is 750ish right now. I have never missed a beat on any payments since I was 17..
