I lost my accident virginity

So I'm leaving the bank.... I'm in one of the end spots thats right by the side of the building so you can't really see if anyone is coming because the view is blocked. Well, as I'm backing up I guess someone comes around the corner and I didn't see him until BAM I back into him. So I guess we were both at fault. And the guy is a complete moron driving an old POS volvo. Trying to just convince me not to call the cops and not to call the insurance. I inform him I for one don't want to call the insurance but I want a report to cover my ass if I need to. He gives me his number and leaves. I call back the pd and realize I don't want a wreck on my record so I tell them I don't want to make a report. So as I'm looking at the car I notice I have a gash in the hfp kit. The trunk is off and the bumper was pulled down so there is a gap under my lights and the seam where it is connected to the car you can see it's pulled down. Luckily honda is cool they are helping me out on the price... to fix the kit, take the bumper off and realign it and everything they are charging me $375 to fix it all. Soooo hopefully it will turn out OK. This car is bad luck. Two tickets already and an accident and I've never in my life been in an accident.
This is the kit....

You can't really tell but it's the best I have right now here is the gap below the lights.

At least you're okay. Rear end accidents (even in a parking lot) hurt like a mofo.

Ouch! Look, you have to get in an accident at least once to pop the...uh, cherry (so to speak). Now that it's over with, it wasn't so bad, now was it? $375?...I'd get that guy to cough it up.
By the way, my Si is not bad luck at all. So you can sit in mine. Wait, where am I going...

Hmm...sounds like he was more at fault than you. You probably had the right of way and he should've stopped for you, which is why he didn't want the IC to get involved. It's good Honda's not screwing you to fix it though.

Sendin out to you though, just cuz I have an excuse to do so....hehe...

I'll pay it and be over it. I don't want him involving insurance or anything. And yes one ticket on my way back from a meet in miami like 4 days after I got it. Then like 3 weeks ago for $211 lol

make his ass pay for it.....and then be over it.

I think you're having problems because you had your hair blonde....brunettes get in less trouble. Trouble must be hangin out a little longer....hehe

Actuall, unfortunately, Alyson is 100% at fault for this one (I work in auto insurance). When you are backing you must yield to traffic. No, the other guy does not have to stop and wait...ya it sucks...

Sorry to hear about that, that really sucks. i thought honda bumpers were stronger than that. i got rear ended once when i was completely stopped behind a school bus by a bmw that was going at least b/w 20-25...and my bumper didn't have any damage but the black rubber crap from her license plate which i was surprised to see...hopefully all works out for you...

if the 2 tickets you got were for speeding, you should invest in a radar detector...i get a on my face each time the radar goes off and i see a cop just chillin there and i'm doing the limit...good luck

Wow! $375 to fix everything? That's a great deal! That brown hair is working wonders for you already!

You should get the other guy to pay if you can. If you really think you are both at fault, at least tell him to cover half of the cost. $188 each to slide it under insurance's noses is going to be worth it. If you report it to insurance, it's your word against his, but it sounds like it would be a 50/50 split anyway.

Two tickets? Sounds like you need to wear some more low cut shirts and flaunt them b(.)(.)bies. Hey don't you work for dispatch now? Don't you have immunity to tickets or something?

Isn't it like more than half way out of the parking space and you have the right of way though, and they have to stop?

I think there's an epidemic going on for this car

http://www.fgcoupe.com/forum/showthr...6385#post26385

This one.... after you sit back is kind of funny on how it happened...VERY IRONIC too

I haven't been pulled over in 10 years....I get the Si and I've been pulled over twice in 4 months...no tickets tho...guess having gray hair pays off..lol
Once for 78 in a 55 and once for trying to beat a red light and losing
