I love New York
I love New York City. I always have and I always will. I finally decided to take a camera with me on one of my day trips over to the greatest city on earth. So I figured I'd share some of the pics I took with those who may not get to go there as often as some of us can.
The Empire State Building as seen from the top of the Rockefeller Building ![]() The Chrysler Building hiding behind the MetLife building ![]() Weird lit up room on the Top of the Rock. The ceiling lights up and makes noises. It's like Cash Cab in there! ![]() Crazy chandelier in the Rockefeller Building ![]() Another angle of the chandelier ![]() Rockefeller Plaza statue ![]() needs no introduction I'm sure![]() Grand Central Station ![]() Time Square ![]() More Time square ![]() Sexy! TLs in traffic in Time Square ![]() Hershey madness in Time Square ![]() Civic in the City ![]() St Peter's Cathedral ![]() New York City Public Library. As seen in Ghostbusters and The Day After Tomorrow to name two of it's many movie apperances ![]() World Trade Center Path Station ![]() Anyway, I love New York.

To say I love NYC is putting it lightly. I had a 5' x 2' poster of the Manhattan skyline on my wall all throughout jr. highschool and highschool. I still have a ticket in my dresser from when I went to the WTC observation deck in 1992. Somehow it has survived almost 15 years through moves and all kinds of stuff. I've wanted to live there my entire life and I'm still determined to someday.
Hopefully when I get a new camera, I'll have the gear neccessary to take really good pictures. :)

I chose not to post to much of the WTC because while the past should never be forgotten, I tend to look towards the future. One of the great things about us americans is that you can kick us, punch us, try everything you can to knock us down and you still can't break our spirit. I can't wait till the new WTC is built. It'll be a big FU to all of our adversaries both foreign and domestic. We rule.

What are they doing now at the WTC site? constructing the freedom tower? i heard Donald Trump wanted to rebuild the exact towers, and make them taller with stronger materials. Thats like a slap in the face, and an insult to the familys of 9/11. The History channel or something will have a special presentation "inside the world trade center" I look forward to the future too,the past is done and overwith, we need to stay strong, united and postive!

Yes, the plans at the site are for the freedom tower with the infinity pools as a memorial for the families of those lost. The plan layout is wonderfull. The new tower will reach the same height as the original towers and the antenna will peak at 1378. I believe it will have 4 or 5 other buildings rising up to it in a spiral type design. The foot print of the Freedom Tower will be the exact foot print of WTCs 1 and 2 combined. It'll be sqaure rising up to an octagonal shape. It's going to be great.

Never been to New York. I'd love to go though. It would be interesting to see how it compares to Chicago. I like Chicago allright but I've never been, nor will I ever be, a big city kid. Just staying for school and enjoying it as much as I can. Plus driving here is a no no and that hurts.
Driving is like crack for me, I know ya'll understand... |

I live in Jersey so i've been to the city plenty of times but those are some of the best pictures i've seen. Great view of the Empire State Building and the color of the sky. Good wallpaper picture.
I just came back from Chicago and its not much different than NYC except for the attractions. They both smell...although Chicago's smell is so much worse than NYC. The only thing I missed to see in Chicago was where Ferris was in the parade. lol |

Smells worse in Chicago? Haha, I've heard the opposite here. Everyone says it often smells worse in New York supposedly because they have fewer alleyways with which to keep trash off the streets, though I wouldn't know. But yeah, the sewers are definitely pretty rank here but that's about it and you don't smell those often. Too many damn hobos and crazies as well. Wonder how that is in NYC.
Ah the joys of city living... |

lol were you double parked? Those stupid traffic "cops" suck in nyc. Guiliani moved the traffic cops into the regular nypd to consolidate and now a lot of them think they are real cops. still sucks that you got towed so quickly makes a great first impression huh?
