A "feature" where the gun is unable to be fired if there is no magazine inserted. A reason behind this is that if you are in a position where you might lose control of your gun, you can drop the mag and it will not be able to fire, even with one in the chamber. Another reason is to prevent ADs due to people thinking that a gun with no mag means that it is unloaded. Some see it as a safety feature, others see it as a negative

My wife has the same issue with the gun. She can get it ready to fire but she has to put so much effort into it that it's just not safe for her to do it. If she likes shooting I think an SR22 will be our next purchase.
ya i love both of the guns. if u think theres a tad bit of recoil on the sr9 u will be amazed at how the recoil on the sr22 is non-existant! both guns are really fun to shoot but more rounds go threw the sr22 since ammo is so cheap

I only shot one Bersa. It was a 380. I hated it. It was so inaccurate

Handled a Sig P232 the other day. Loved the feel of it. Hate the mag release and the .380 round.

What do you guys think would be a good CCW? I'm looking for a 9mm and something pretty small. A sr9c would be a little big for what im looking for. I'm taking a very close look at a ruger lc9. I love the way my ruger sr22 fits when it's concealed but then again I'd feel a lot safer with a 9 over a 22.

Have you looked at the Sig P938 by chance? It comes in 9mm and is pretty small. I've got it's cousin, the Sig P238 in 380 and love it.

P938 Equinox

Why something pretty small?

A Glock 19 will fill the bill year round, and provide you with 15 rounds of 9mm in a fairly compact package. A good IWB holster and supportive gun belt will allow you to conceal it well. Or an OWB such as a RCS Phantom.

Heck, I'm 6'-0", 180 pounds and have been carrying my full-size Glock 17 as my CCW for the last several months - carrying AIWB. A buddy of mine is 5'-5" and 130 pounds soaking wet - he carries a Sig P226 as his CCW.

I've been CCW'ing for 15 years now. I can tell you without hesitation that it's all about software (proper holster, training, modest clothing choices) over hardware (smallish carry gun).

I've been debating doing that with my ruger sr9 and I may end up doing that. But is prefer to hold it around the wasteband. Maybe I'm just trying to find an excuse to buy a new pistol lol

Been looking at XDs 45's for several months, but couldn't justify $600 and more for one of the 2 tones. I just found one local with 2 regular mags and one 7 round for $500. Gonna get it tomorrow, i'm stoked.

Check out Marengo Guns. Depending on where you're from in IL it might be worth the drive. I got my M&P kit for $100+ less than what all the other gun shops in the Chicago area were selling them for.

Just picked this up from a local individual. $380, 5 glock 23 factory mags, a scherer 29 round mag, and a .357sig conversion barrel, none of which I have any use since my 23 was stolen. I think this is the best deal i've gotten all year.

That's a good deal. The XDS is high on my pistol must buy list. What happened to your G23?

How much ammo do you guys keep stored at home in the event of an emergency or some ww3/appocolypse type of thing goes down....or am I the only one who fears that?

The 23 was stolen out of my work van, I doubt i'll ever see it again. I still have the box for it, so if it turns up eventually i'll just put it away, still got plenty of ammo.

I never even looked at that gun till I read your post but now that I saw it, it looks bad ass! Now I gotta debate between that and a lc9. When I was looking at my first gun I saw the full size one and loved it but it was out of my range at the time.
