I was a little over an hour east of the bay area. The weather out there is amazing. Always so sunny in cali. You like it out there?

Yup. I would want to move out of cali, but by the way things are going with house prices ill probably have to ask my parents for help getting a house, or move out of cali. Its nice how there is no snow here.

I don't know how houses are where you are, but it was nuts even where we stayed. Not as bad as SF prices, but still crazy. Most homes that I looked at were like 500k -700K for a 2 or 3 bedroom decent home. Most were around 2000 sq foot and ran that much. New homes around 2k square foot were like 775,000 and up. Nicer neigborhoods were easily in the million plus range.

For a comparison - homes that size in similar neighborhoods around ohio/pa areas would probably run you about 175-200k range NEW. Used, you could probably find stuff comparible for 130-170k.

Cali housing is just insane. And yes, people in cali make more money, but it still doesn't match up to the cost of housing.

Around where i live (PA), a new 2,500 sq. ft home would run about 250,000-300,000.

yah, and it would be about another hour to an hour and a half east of the PA/OH border to the meet. Seems like they are talking about the akron area.

So that would be like at least a 7hr drive.
