I Got Two Tickets In Two Months And My Court Dates R Coming.

I live in Jacsonville, North Carolina.

I got my first ticket on June 15. 2006 for wreckless driving for doing doughnuts in a Walmart parking lot at 8:30PM. I did one doughnut but I never admitted it to the cop. My court date is August 3, 2006.

I was going to get a lawyer and have him plead a "prayer for judgment".

However, today I got a speeding ticking comin back from Florida in the same county of North Carolina for doing 67 mph in a 55 mph zone (12 over). I had my radar detector on and it didnt go off because he used his "instant-on" so I slowed down as much as I could when I saw him. My court date is September 22, 2006.

Will my prayer for judgement not work now since I have two tickets? Or can I get the prayer for judgment ticket for my wreckless driving work if I can get out of my second ticket still?

I am going to talk to the lawyers on Monday.

But any of you guy's wisdom will be greatly appreciated! What should I do? I don't want my insurance to go up and I am defiently done with speeding! Thanks

Robert

By the way, I am 20 years old and I have a clean driving record other then those two infractions. I also drive a Red 2006 Honda Civic EX (if this information helps)

It's called NOLO contendere, but be carefull you can only plea NOLO once every five years. It should keep the points off of your record, but you will still have to pay a fine.

Why would you try doing donuts in front of a walmart, your crazy on that one.

Other then that, I got a ticket last month, but my lawyer hopefully will be doing all the dirty work for me, and once thats done, they mail me the court results, and from there I might have to pay a court fee.

I would edit the post with much less detail. Posting here might be incriminating evidence against you if the right people find it.

To win the case. Asked the police officer if he have any statistic, evidence and allots of research fact that the "instant-on" are 100% accurate w/ it speed measurement.

If you have a heavy traffic. There was someone close to you. There a good arguement that radar, wave beam reflect w/ other vehicle....etc.

I have friend used his wit and out smart the police at the court house. The case was throw-out.

Should I attempt this or give it all to the lawyers for them to do?

I have never been to court before. Not even jury duty.

If you look guilty and not experience defending yourself, get a lawyers. If the cop don't show up, the case would be drop.

keep canceling your court date and say ya got more important stuff to do and the cop after a while wont usually show up. That works here i dunno but in florida.

What brand so I make sure I don't buy that one. The 8500x50 should not have this issue, that is the one I was going to purchase.

Also I read somewhere that once they pop you, they must switch over to radar to obtain a 5 second read for it to be legal.
