Two Stories about Karma

I logged on today and saw all the threads in the Delete Area. Just wanted to share a couple stories. Bare with me, they're a little long.

1. This one's a little sad. Jack really loves Jill and they get married. Jill's sister, Mary, despite having a husband, Tom, sleeps around a lot and Jack actually cheats on Jill with Mary. Mary rubs it in Tom's face every chance she gets. Tom's heart is completely broken and Jill tries to comfort him because she's going through the same thing. They end up dating and eventually marry. Oddly enough, Mary and Jack fall in love and get married....

Jill and Tom have children. Tom is a real asshole of a husband and parent. Jill's quite unhappy. Mary and Jack are seemingly happy, but are in debt up to their knees. They're also expecting their third child, but there are some complications. The baby is born and is immediately put on a respirator. They have to operate on her 10 minutes after she arrives. For the next 3 weeks the baby is on a machine, in and out of surgery. One of her lungs is smaller than the other. So small that they have to remove it. This baby is the size of a large grapefruit, has one lung and has to be sedated in order to stay inside of this particular respirator machine, one of only two in the country. She's not to move a muscle inside the machine, which is why the doctors have her sedated. Mary calls Jill to come down to the hospital and be the big sister in her time of need. Tom is still not being supportive of Jill and Jill has no solice with her sister nor at home. The doctor's finally tell Mary there's nothing more they can do for her baby. Mary and Jack discuss it and they finally decide to take the baby off the respirator. The baby passes in Mary's arms. Mary continues to hold the baby for another 2 hours before finally letting go. Her little one is gone.

Karma......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kirsten has been dating George for a few years now. They've moved in together. George travels for work. I think you know where this is going. Late at night, when Kristen and George are lying in bed, Kristen can hear George tapping on his phone. Text messages (also known as "transcripts"). Kristen grows very suspicious. One day, George leaves for a business trip. He accidentally leaves his phone on Kristen's coffee table. Kristen ponders morality a bit and decides to check his phone. She knows the password to unlock his phone AND his voicemail. She checks both aural and text messages. Some woman from a different state has been writing him. She misses him and wishes he'd leave his girlfriend for her. "Hmm...," wonders Kirsten.

Kirsten began packing boxes with George's possessions. While she was putting them outside her door, a handsome male college-student passing by, noticed Kirsten crying, and asked her if she needed help. She said "yes, please...". The young man comments that whoever the guy is, "he's a real moron". Kirsten offers to pay him for his help. The young man offers to take her to dinner instead. She again says "yes, please."

George returned from his business to find all of his possessions sitting outside Kirsten's door. Not only that but Kirsten wassn't home and his key didn't work. At first, George was confused. Then George cried. Like a little b*tch....

George calls Kirsten everyday for the next few weeks wanting her to let him sleep on her couch. And everyday Kirsten refused. She'd told him she'd been dating a younger guy and her life was much better without him. Everyday, George called her and asked her to take him back. And everyday she refused.

There's a very pretty, VERY feminine-looking transexual woman at Kirsten's new job. She's very eccentric. Her name is Tammy. Kirsten talks to her a lot because Tammy is a really kewl person. Tammy knows who George is. In fact, Tammy was at a bar and this guy, coincidentally, named George offers to buy her a few drinks in exchange for her number. Tammy says, "sure". She knows who this George is and she knows he's an asshole. She'll play along. George offers to take Tammy back to his home. Tammy says sure.

In order to keep this from getting a NWS, I won't describe the language that George used when he got Tammy in his bed.

Karma.....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These stories are not made up. This stuff took place in the past week or so and they're people I personally know. I just changed the names. Thought it was interesting, two different views of Karma, and wanted to share. Have a good one peeps.

I'm convinced that Karma is real. There was a homeless guy on the news the other day and he found over $20,000 in savings bonds in a coat thrown in the trash. He turned them in somewhere and the rightful owner gave him $100.00. Now don't get me started about how cheap a reward I think that is.... But, people all over the US heard about his good deed and he's received over $40,000.00 in donations. When he was asked why he turned the bonds in, he just smiled and said "honesty is the best policy". My girl and I are hooked on the Amazing Race. These two hippie guys in the race stopped and gave a Bedouin a ride through the desert although stopping would delay them. They were low on funds and he pitched in for gas and snacks and the two hippies ended up winning the race and the million. Karma can be such a beautiful thing and such a devastating thing. Reminds us that every action has a consequence, even if it's not immediate. Thanks for the stories Skittles. Sad, but man you gotta appreciate how fate works.

I watched The Today Show or one of those and the TV reporter said $40,000 but she could have been wrong or I could have heard wrong. $4,000 is better than $100

I dunno if anybody's familiar with Tyler Perry, but he was homeless about 6 years or so ago. He's currently made more returns on his two movies than Tom Cruise or Johnny Depp on their huge budget films.

The moral of the first seems to be everybody gets screwed.
The second one just seems to be, transexuals are great for playing jokes and getting revenge on people. If that story is true, karma needs to bite some more people in the ass than the boyfriend...

I dunno, not the best examples of karma or stories for that matter, IMHO.

Yeah, I asked my girl about it when I called home and she said she heard on the radio it was $40,000- one guy gave him $1,000 and 2 businessmen gave him money and a job offer. He's in Detroit. I remember when I was a kid, my friend found a wallet with $2,000 in it and the older couple who was in Vermont looking at the foliage gave him $200 of it. It was very cool and we were all really impressed. My friend's mom didn't want to let him keep the money but the couple insisted.

Story is two days old so he could have received more by now...

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14024565/
"Homeless man finds best reward is honesty
Community rallies around man, gives him $4,000 for returning $21,000 bond"

For some funny comments on the cheapness of the initial reward:
http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll...607260365/1008

And to further correct all the mishearings:
"So they took action: A Belleville man sent him eight trash bags full of bottle returns and a bowl of coins. Three people pledged a combined $2,500. By the end of the day, two businessmen had given Moore $1,200, a shopping spree at a men's clothing store and a lead on a job.

...
David C. Smith, of Albuquerque, N.M., gave Moore $1,000. Smith said he and his fiancée wouldn’t have thought twice about what to do if the bonds had belonged to them.

“We would have given him the whole amount, period,” Smith said. “No questions asked.”"

I always try to return people's wallets. Not cuz I'm afraid of losing my own because I do that frequently, but there's a certain satisfaction in doing the right thing by people.

My friend lost his wallet at a huge concert and figured he'd never see it again. A week later he found it in the mail with everything intact.
Pretty cool.

man... karma is a bitch.

so here's the story...
this weekend one of my roommate's (apartmentmate, lets call him Jon) sister comes to visit. She's my age, i think she's attractive, but of course i didnt want to say anything since it's his sister and all. My other roommate, lets call him Bill, wanted to drink, but it was freaking sunday night, but of course i said okay anyways. Jon's sister was still awake (jon was asleep cause he had to go to work the next day) so we all have some happy drinking and then Bill sorta falls asleep, and... me and jon's sister start talking... and end up making out.

So here's the bad part of the story: it's Jon's YOUNGER sister, and he's almost 3 years older than me. Even though she's my age, she's still my close friend and apartmentmate's younger sister, and i totally f'd that up. So I didnt want to tell the guy, but i did anyways cause i figured it was the right thing to do, so even though i told him (and he wanted to kill me for a few minutes), bad things are still happening to me. I broke some random dish at our apartment, i lost my RFID parking thing for the apartment, i lost my Social Security card (i had just gotten a job and had it with me), and i failed a physics2 test (35/100).

I'm sure it will get worse, so hopefully if i expect it things will get better =)

so moral of the story is... don't make out with your friend's younger sisters.

at least she wasnt ugly. =)

Call me crazy, but i don't think that you really did a bad thing. Come on, every girl is someones daughter or sister.etc. It would be bad if ou didn't tell your roommate, but you did. Don't feel too bad about it, she was your age and both of you did it willingly.

Most transsexuals are aware of the very obvious danger they face if they wait to tell their male lover about their...change once they go to bed.

Many have died that way. Many.

Two things....

1) She was aware.

2) She knew he was a little punk ass b*tch. He was sleeping at his buddies house. His buddy was home. His buddy knew he deserved it.
