Drive across America/Ultimate Meet

Celcius and I are plotting a Drive across America/Ultimate meet, it will go something like this..

The starting point will be Los Angeles all the way to Orlando Florida And back to Los Angeles. Those living around Florida can team up with us back to los Angeles its going to be a diff route back but everything will be the same as far as how it runs..

The twist:

Members will register by leg of the journey and will be put into teams. Every 4 hours (sometimes longer) there will be a Checkpoint, the team leader for each team will be in charge of getting their team to the checkpoint safely, there will be two types of checkpoints.

Quick stops : Where everyone will meet up at a designated point where prizes will be dispensed for quickest time to that stop as well as other categories. At this point the team dynamics will be rearranged (those not wanting to do the previous leg will join in at this point) until the next quick stop

Overnight Stops: Will be stops where we will have a minimum 8 hour rest period, these stops will be at a hotel. And prizes will be dispensed for best time to these checkpoints as well as team dynamics changing.

If you do not feel like making the entire ten day trip you can participate in just one leg two legs or whatever, you customize the trip. We will also be working with local shops at the quick stops to provide dyno runs etc. Speeding etc will be prohibited; safety is our number one concern.

We are looking to do this in mid may to give people time to save $$ and to get everything ironed out. We will also need volunteers to help run things so if you think you would like to help let me know.

We also need as much feedback as you guys can give, we need a good name and anyone that has done anything similar to this please give us some insight.

If your up for this challenge please also post where you are from and if you would like to do the entire trip or just one leg or a few legs etc. The legs are posted below and marked with letters. So please post what letters you would like to complete ie. from point A to point D.

You should have been at our meets. D&B meet was on the 14th. All sorts of GTA peeps would come out and meetup, no probs.
