Pizza Delivery Anyone?

I want to work as a Pizza delivery man using my Si, has anyone served as a pizza delivery man? It seems very simple if you have Nav like me. So who pays for my gas? Is that all im going to do or do they make me bake pizzas sometimes. Thanks alot i need money to buy new stuff for my car.

I used to work at Papa John's Pizza. They gave me minimum wage plus $1 per delivery (they wanted you to take like 3-4 at a time, so thats $3-$4 dollars). It was pretty good money cuz you got the minimum wage, plus gas and tips.

I would never think about doing that to my Si though. It puts a lot of miles and wear on your car. Forget the miles, pulling in and out of that many driveways and apartments will kill your car. Not to mention the pizza smell. Most people also put on some weight cuz of all the free pizza.

I did it because its so easy. I never had to make pizza, just come in, grab a few and leave. I just drove around bumping my music all day long... smoking bowls. This was in an 01 Corolla S that my sister had already beat up a little before I got it so it wasn't a big deal. I would never deliver pizza in a brand new car (even if it wasn't an Si).

Most insurance companies won't cover you if you're using your vehicle for business

Hey there's a pizza guy at one of the local shops here that delivers pizzas in his FBP Si. He only does it once a week though. What a co-inky-dink.

And insult any type of heritage or reputation a car may or may not have.

The wear and tear on your car far outweighs the positives of doing that job.

Gas money is a minor concern in the long run on the oil changes and daily wear and tear from stop and go traffic, etc.

No, you will kill your var and navi does not help at all. You need to know your area........by the time you type in the address a real pizza delivery driver is delivering the pizza and on his way to the next house. Delivery driving is done in pre 1995 Si's only.

Yeah dont do it! i already posted about a guy using his 8th gen sedan to deliver pizzas in and it had tags on it! no licence plates yet. If i were you,get a used scooter or something then use a bungee cord to hold down/tie down the pizza boxes. But do not do it in the SI,under any circumstances! just some advise

This thread is crazy old but i saw a guy about two weeks ago in westchester delivering pizza in his 06 Si. I would not suggest it. The wear and tear from stop and go, the constant re-starting of your engine is just no good. Also delivery guys always know shortcuts and quick routes that will be way faster than the navi routes. I would look into valet, you get to park your car and drive others cars, lol. BTW theres just something about valet and delivery guys that go hand in hand, i guess its the unreliable wages and temp position and no real commitment about both jobs.

I've used to Valet cars and deliver pizzas as second jobs. Valet is better, if you get in at a casino or nice hotel or restaurant. you ususally make much better tips than pizza delivery, but you have to be over 18 to valet, at least here in Louisiana.

I dont know about the laws. But the valet company that i work for has 16 year olds working without even permits!!! driving cars all over the place. I must admit though, those same kids drive and park farrrrrrrr better than alot of the guys with licenses.
