How many military members are there on here?

I'm just curious as to who is/was etc. Whether you are active duty, reserve, DEP, separated or retired. We're an odd group with an unusual sense of humour. I noticed in the "What countries have you been to" thread that alot of people posted the same countries and there seems to be patterns that say "airforce, Army, Navy/marines" So I was just wondering.

I was/am Navy. I was on active duty from 7/94-7/98, reserves from 1/99-6/00, active duty again from 6/00-4/06 and now I'm a reservist again. I figure after 30 years of bouncing around I should have a 20 year active duty career to retire from.

I just need a break from time to time.

Prior Navy E-6 (AG1). Served from 1988-1996. Was going up for Chief when I got out. Met my wife (who is AF) in Japan and we decided whoever had better orders would stay in. She got the Florida panhandle and I was taken off my orders to Guam and told I would stay on the carrier for another year. mmm.... let me think

What do you guys do? I am still in weather. Childhood dream come true, starting with my Navy time which was great, but I had never planned on going the distance.

USAF retired Master Sergeant here. 1979 to 1999. Just got off the inactive reserve list. Been working for a Air Force contractor since I separated. It's still wierd having to figure out what to wear to work every day. LOL.

I presently work as a technical writer at the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory. Basically instruct technicians in the fine art of repairing and calibrating precision measuring equipment. And that all correlates to planes flying true and bombs falling on target somewhere down the line. Oh damn. Did it again. Now I have to terminate everyone who reads this post.....

USAF Active Duty for 2 years, then transferred to Reserves. I have about 22 months left and the end can't come quick enough.

Oops, did I just bring down the mood? My bad.

Active USAF vehicle mechanic. Still kind of young as I have only been in about five years now, but it was the best decision that I have ever made. I got to do something I love to do and get an education at the same time.

I am currently stationed at Minot North Dakota where that say "Freezins the Reason" I am hoping to get out of here soon and get somewhere warm in time for the winter

Oh be careful of what you wish for. Be exact in that wish. Warm has too many answers.

Now 4 of us, lol. I would love to run the ICE/stereo threads, expecially since I own a stereo shop.

I'm a F/A-18 flight sim and airsoft nut, yeah I know that doesn't count...(I love getting PWNED by our real military guys in airsoft. It's even better when they're on your team .)

Thanks so much to all our men and women for serving our country! There sure are quite a few on these forums. Looks like we're in good company.
