keep that stuff under wraps. deployment times and flight info are OPSEC. It's ok to say you are going, just not exactly when. OK NCO business taken care of- stay safe over there and listen to your leadership

First time I've seen this thread.

Sargent First Class, U.S. Army, 21 years. About to retire.

15T (used to be 67T a few years ago) UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Mechanic.

Fort Ord, CA 1989-1991
S. Korea 1991-1992
Fort Campbell, KY. 1992-2002
S. Korea 2002-2003
Fort Carson, CO. 2003-2005
For Rucker, AL. 2005-Current and retiring here.

Been on more deployments than I can count. Literally. I don't know how many times. Iraq 2003-2004 was my last one though.

Nope, only been pulled over once in the last 5 years and I didn't try to argue with him.

I'd rather run a QC shop than a PC shop! But then, I've always liked QC myself. Except for engines or for you guys, the rotor hubs.

PC doesn't have to be bad, it all depends on the people you're running.

Of course I'd rather do supply or even cook for Chinooks then have anything to do with Blackhawks.

At least we can't have a mid-air collision with ourselves......

I did a jump out of a blackhawk before we deployed and I never want to do that again. I felt like I was going to get sucked out the bird and I forgot there is a 6 sec free fall compared to the normal 4 out of a c-130 or c-17. I about pooped my pants.
