Whatever you do, don't ever crossrate. Your rate screams "Hey, I'm smart!" You'll regret it to no end if you ever did. I used to be an AT, was force crossrated when I should have just gotten out. I've been miserable ever since and I think I've gotten dumber with each passing year.

yea i tried and it took 5 months for randolph to even approve my package, so i just decided to stay active guard. No biggie, but no PCS'ing anymore. Which is good and bad. Owell, i am happy here.

its going to depend on the job. i am going to the guard in little rock when i get out. little rock is where they train all the active duty c130 aircrews. so they never deploy. plus they are needing pilots and loads. i just got married and want to settle down and have children soon. i dont want to miss my childrens first steps and words. if you want to deploy you can volunteer.

i know what you mean about the family aspect, but i am in a critically manned career, so the only way to crosstrain is to go into another critically manned career field. i dont really see much that interests me, so TACP is really my only other option. Good luck in little rock. AGR or Traditional?
