my apologies

Now that I've got your attention, I'd like to say something about people disrespecting the community.

Speaking of which, I took a look at the car myself and I'm not sure what my dealer was talking about. He didn't mention the TCS to me when I picked the car up, so I didn't think about it when I tore the car down. I've been working on exterior pieces in between all the other stuff I've gotta deal with, so when I asked my dealer on behalf of one of the members here, what changes were being made to the 07's he told me TCS. He then told me he thought he told me that because mine came with TCS. I asked him if I could turn it off, he said yep. Obviously, I had the car and even though it was torn down, I had no reason to believe him. I also had no reason to go out and take a ton of pics of my TCS button because quite frankly, I wasn't going to need it anyway. But I was going through my pieces yesterday after work and I couldn't find it. At first I thought it was no big deal, I'd find it some other time, but as I kept searching, I hought I was going crazy. I've concluded that I do, not in fact have it until I find otherwise.

It's no sweat off my back. I just had a near-death experience and my doc thinks my girls cancer might be back, so I could care less what anybody thinks of me. So I didn't lie. I made a mistake based on somebody elses information.

So in short, my apologies to everyone here for the misunderstanding. If anyone here needs me, you know where to find me. My PM box is back open.

If you were talking to a Vermont dealer dude, I can believe that they didn't know wtf they were talking about. The Automonster's reps don't know crap about what's on or not on the cars and if you press them, they just tell you something to shut you up. I've been lurking around here for a long time and you always have great information. I think you know more than the dealers and the service dudes about Hondas. You should go work at the Automonster- I'd buy a vehicle for you.

Sounds like you're having a tough time skittles with the near death experience and a sick girl. That really sucks.

I think you need a drink. I'd buy you one, but I only do caffeine! Hang in there and keep posting. I really enjoying reading your posts.

I never got any of your private messages, but as you said in your last quotation: "If you have a problem with someone here, including the mods, address it in private."

It would seem that you are making a public defense and drawing inordinate attention to it with that subject line. I would appreciate that if you are going to disparage me that you not do so publicly.

Damn, Skittles. I'm sorry things are going so bad for you right now. You always seem so positive it bums me out to hear this happening to good people.

Life has had its extreme ups and downs for me as well. I used to be the most pessimistic person I knew, somehow though, I've become optomistic. Things are real rough right now but I think they'll turn out well for you both. My heart and my prayers go out to you both during these troubling times. I hope your girl gets back good news and it's good that while you had the accident you are okay and in one piece.

No matter what other people may think of you be it bad or good, you have a lot of supporters and friends that you've made on here. I still look forward to meeting you sometime in the future. Take care. :)

Thanks. I thought I told you I hurt my back? lol. I was talking to 6spd on Yahoo and she was like "I heard you were in an accident".. I was like Dawn must've told you. That was just a suck-ass day in general though. But my lady brought me home ice cream and after that I was straight

You still going to HIN right? You should see me then. Provided I can piece the car back together by then.

:) She and I talk nightly. We sort of have an 8thCivic AIM clique.

Isn't it funny how Ice cream makes everything better? How much work do you think it's gonna take to fix the car?

Can I add about the ice cream? One good thing about Vermont, Ben & Jerry's factory seconds at the convenience store is $3.00 a pint instead of the $4 whatever at the store. I eat a pint a night. Good thing I've got a girl who doesn't mind a little chubby on her not-quite-hubby! Ice cream is good for the soul and easier to find than illegal narcotics!

Wow. I went to the Ben & Jerry's factory when I was about 12.

But I just got back from the grocery store and I've got a pint of the Phish Food frozen yogurt in my freezer. :P

ok this wasn't what I was thinking when I asked for a resolution at all. To the other members, I asked skittles to provide a pic or something so that this could be moved on as stated in the original thread. I obviously don't know what he has on his car, and Honda Corporate couldn't even give me the information about the VSC. They acted like it could be true, and didn't know if the line had changed over to putting the vsc in. So, I just figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, and have him post it up.

He's come forward and stated he does not in fact have it - or found it since his car is torn down. He's stated he's sorry - and hopefully we can move past the posts in the other threads. Someone made a mistake - I think we all do at some point. His dealer told him he had it - we aren't all perfect.

As for the PM issues - I'd rather it be addressed in private if you want to talk things out more clearly. I'm sorry I didn't get involved earlier, but who am I to say what a person does and does not have on their car. I can't argue that. That's like someone telling me my interrior came in pink. Maybe it did - ... I don't see it in the brochure, but who can really aruge it.... unless you see it in person.

If you felt like you were being singled out in the thread - I'm sorry. Can we accept his apology and move forward? I hate to have something like this disrupt the forum or cause bad blood among other members.

If you want to talk to me - feel free to pm me as well. If you have further issues - bring it up to me, or another mod.

thank u

Skittles man... I had/have no idea about the accident and I'm really sorry for the way things are working out right about now. I'm always blown away at the extent of your knowledge and obvious potential that you have to succeed once you get past all of this. I wish you and your girl the best and your both in my prayers right now.
