What countries have you visited?

I thought it would be fun to find out what countries people have visited, being that it's summer and all. You might get a cool idea on where to take your next vacation!

Ive been to: Mexico, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy (very briefly)...

Gotta love Amsterdam!:)

Texas is it's own country. You never see any other state fly their flag and have it everywhere like Texas does. I may become a resident of Texas someday...

Japan (lived there for 3 years). Lots of fun and ton of culture.

Singapore. Very clean but kinda boring

Hong Kong. mmmmm duck!

Thailand. Both west coast and Gulf side. Beautiful country and wonderful people. West side is more of the European tourist side. Bangkok had good shopping but VERY dirty and large sections are incredibly poor. It is a sign of wealth to have a TV so you'll see tin shacks with an antenna (but no tv).

Bahrain, UAE. Went sand surfing and had a desert bbq. That was cool.

South Korea. "What kind dog is that?" "Sandwich dog!!"

Russia (Vladivostok). Very nice people with incredible hospitatlity but was also scary during the transition period, lawlessness and gangs.

The Cayman Islands. Went on a cruise. Good diving, not much else.

Virgin Isands, Barbados and St Kitts. Ahhhh paradise!

Mexico. Cancun. Also on a cruise. Man those margaritas were strong. "Wheres the boat again??". Also spent a week touring the center part of the country around Cuernavaca and Aculpulco. It was hot in June but the air is dry and the nights are very comfortable. Acapulco was beautiful. Great food all over!! Mexico City us huge and VERY dirty.

Italy (central and northern). Very clean. Cool cars on the Autostrada. Venice can not be missed.

Germany, only the area around Garmish. Skiing for 5 days. Probably one of the best weeks of my life.

Wherever you go try and at least learn some basic greetings and customs. Will get you a long way and make the trip much more enjoyable. Not to mention the locals will respect you for at least trying.

Okay, I know you're talking about Northern Italy here. Where at in Central Italy were you? I ask because I lived in that country for 4 years and clean does not apply to half of it. I still love it though. Discarded trash on the side of the roads and all. I'm homesick for it.

Oh how I miss an old washing machine, toilet, or couch on the side of the road with mountains in the background....

Wow that was not my experience, but then I was only there for 10 days. We drove from Venice to Rome, Florence, The Amalfi Coast and back. Granted the cities can be dirty as any big city but I was impressed on most of the trip with how clean the roads were. Also, the lack of visual clutter (signs, bilboards and such).

In Florence we drove around for 2 hours looking for parking. We kept passing the same sites which quickly brought up the movie European Vacation. We gave up and came back a few days later.

Lol. It's so easy to get lost in Italy. All roads lead to Rome or right back to where you started. I can't count how many times my friends or I said "look kids, there's (insert sight here) again. Yay! " You drove to the Amalfi? Naples has a big trash problem because they've had a trash strike since 1994. There are no dumps and an entire street shares a dumpster. But the Napolitani are some of the kindest most fun loving people you'll ever meet.

I popoli sono molti simpatiche la. Ci sono molti feste grande e cibo buono in Napoli. Aaaaa, Italia, ti mancho.

God it feels good to do that from time to time.

Canada, England, Scotland. I love that people count Texas as a country. Speaking of flags, did you know that Texas is the only state that is allowed to fly its flag at the same height as the American flag? I love this state, even though we are responsible for the current presidential situation. Sorry, America.
