Wicked: The Musical?
Has anyone else besides me had the pleasure of seeing this wonderful show? It's on tour across America, in Chicago, and in New York City.
I've seen it a few times now, but I just need to rant for a few moments. I wanted to buy the tickets for the Minneapolis run, which only lasts a week and a half. They had five tiers of pre-sales for tickets, so by the time the public could buy, 75% of tickets were already sold. Then, the day the public was allowed to buy tickets, the 25% sold out in under a minute. So fast, that ticketmaster accidently oversold 350+ tickets, and now have a class-action lawsuit against the theatre (the public vs. the theatre). The tickets that were avaible for the public were mainly bought by ticket scalpers, who are now charging outrageous prices for lackluster seats. Sorry, go search eBay and take a look for Wicked Minneapolis. It's outrageous, but I'm intending on buying a few, because I really want to see it again. I'm obsessed with this show, and have been for over a year or two. If you have the opportunity to see this, like broadway or musicals, or even the Wizard of Oz, check this musical out. Want to see a video or two of my favorite coupe of scenes, click here (warning, slight spoilers for end of act 1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k6T9...tephanie%20pro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1yv5...zard%20and%20i Note. The first woman, Stephanie J. Block, was supposed to be the first lead in NYC, but then took the lead in the touring cast, until the woman in the bottom, Julia Murney, took over for her. Note that there are two more productions currently going on in Chicago and New York City. This is just the touring cast.
