Uhh to what you said no one knows how to use the power yet well GT5 is your example of where a developer figured out how to use it and there is no way in hell you can tell me that your 360 can put out that I mean you totaly forget that the 360 only goes up to 1080i wtf is that??? no 1080p is like HD with out the H!!! Why waste money on HDMI cables. So what you have to say about that nothing!

The SIXAXIS/DS3 has roughly the same layout as the DualShock 1 & 2. They kept it because it works. It is the original console controller design theory perfected. Four circles on the right. D-pad on the left. Two analog sticks where your thumbs rest. Shoulder buttons where trigger fingers rest. Start and Select in center. Symmetrical down the middle. It is widely considered the greatest controller ever because 20 years of evolution brought it here. No goofy offset control sticks for me. It should be laid out how my hands rest if I were to put two fists together and open my hands. Not with my left thumb cocked off to the side. Besides the size, the original Xbox controller caught so much flack from pundits because of the odd button shapes and locations and that damn offset stick. Ya just wanted to slap them and say, "guys you can design your own unique controller but still use tested, tried and true design methods!" They should have simply created a better controller (which they did) but kept the sticks where they belong. You, Bandit, really must have an anomaly of a group of friends if their only complaint about the PS3 is the controller. Game delays, sure. But the controller that forged the gaming industry into what it is today? The controller that has been used and loved by 100's of millions? The controller that takes it's design principles from a dozen million+ seller consoles that came before it? Oh and you are totally free to like the 360 controller more and think it fits better in your hand...that doesn't mean that it will for the majority of the gaming population. My dad uses his mouse upside down in his left hand at work(he's right handed), and while playing RTS's he uses it upside down in his right hand. Now he could probably sit there all day and rant about how "OMG how can you not see it?! It's just sooo comfortable and it fits right in my hand and it just works!" But he doesn't because he knows he is in the minority and can see that most people use it in their right hand right side up. Last edited by spook4thecia; 05-10-2008 at 11:58 AM. |

give me a break man, first of all there has only been a handfull of controllers out so if it is supposedly the best ever there not a whole lot of competition, second the thing has been out forever so obviously people are going to say that cuz they are so use to it, its just like when ps2 fans tried to argue that they had better graphics than the xbox, before my original xbox i had n64, the first time i had a controller with a joystick/trigger, i was so hooked on it that i loved the xbox control instantly despite its size, but now they have perfected the 360 controller, if you hold it the right way each pointer finger rests on a trigger with your thumbs on each joystick, you can easily take ur right thumb off and hit any of the a,x,y,b buttons or take ur pointer finger and hit the top button, they are in perfect position, its that simple, theres no reason to write a bible about it like you are some historian on controllers its not rocket science, the shape of the 360 controller fits ur hands way better than the ps3 and if u disagree then you are in denial

And to my knowledge, not every game on the XBOX 360 is 1080p. As a matter of fact, I don't think most of them are. And Blu-Ray for the XBOX 360? I've heard that rumor, but I don't there is much truth to it. It'd be very odd to see Sony allow Microsoft to use that technology on a competing console. |

As for Blu-ray you make an interesting point. I have heard that even the companies that make Blu-ray players now like Samsung and LG had to pay Sony a considerable amount of money for the rights to their technology. So If they are charging Samsung and LG for the rights then they will probably charge Microsoft even more, or possibly refuse to give them the rights all together. |
