ps3>360?

The only reason I will pick up a PS3 is because of GT5. Other than that, the console sucks as far as online play, game selection, price, game development time, choppiness. Playing Madden '08 on the PS3 made me it ran so bad.

The hardware may have potential, but I haven't seen any of it yet.

The main reason there's a difference in graphics between the consoles at the moment is that the 360 has a very similar architecture to how PC and previous generation consoles operate, simply, it has 3 processors and 2 graphics cards (also the cause of most of the overheating problems). The PS3 decided to go with a different strategy, in that there's a decent graphics card, but most of the effects, particles, shading etc. make use of the cell processor (8 cores, limited to 6). This creates a challenge for developers that want to create a game on PS3 and 360 as they have to code things very differently to make use of the PS3's hardware (which really is superior). So, sports games (Madden, NHL etc.) will inevitably be better for 360, and it will probably stay that way for some time. But games developed for the PS3 will end up looking awesome (GT5 Prologue for example).

So anyways, I'm a GT junkie at heart, so my money's gone into the PS3

have you played COD4 online with the ps3? in my opinion, nothing compares to it. also, i heard that they are developing a new online network.

Because honestly to tell you the truth, (among several reasons) there are no great exclusive games I've seen on 360... besides Halo...and that is only a fun online game not a "great game." And as far as crossover titles, I don't support MS's tactics of throwing huge amounts of money at developers to simul-release their games on both platforms. So in that case, I buy the PS3 version and the xbox version doesn't exist to me.

Said it before...MGS4, GT5, Little Big Planet, PlayStation Home, Blu-Ray, BestControllerEverMade, great legacy franchises (if they don't sell out to the evil empire)...Future looks great for us PS guys.

well said my friend. people say "well xbox has more games". the xbox was out for like a year or 2 before the ps3 was released. imagine if you will the final fantasy games for ps3? a final fantasy 7 remake might single handedly dominate ALL 360 games. lol i dont hate 360 tho.

It was a 1 year release difference... yet Xbox 180 (as some people like to call it) was released in late 01, while PS2 was released in early 00. So, Sony had about 2.5 more years of development time and what does PS3 have over Xbox 360... blu-ray... thats pretty much it. All that and between $200 and $300 more for the system.

Sorry but with 2.5 more years of development and a price tag of +$200 more than the competitor, i'd expect something much more than the debatable graphics differences and bluray capability.

and as for FF7 'dominating' all 360 games... good luck dominating the Halo series. But I do agree... besides that (Halo) series... Xbox doesnt have much vs PS3 in terms of game quality

360 Honestly its called 360 because every single console microsoft makes comes back around and about stats the xbox is a 1.5 version it still runs on regular dvds and how do you compare a console on the game and internet? Uhh the Ps3 pwns 360 all day

ive owned both and imo the 360 is way better all around, might not have the blue ray or the power of the ps3, but honestly i bought my system to play games not watch movies, and i still havent had one issue with my elite, also that intercooler they sell is junk and will actually make things worse so stay away from it

Please when the console just came out there was a variation in console but the games come in blue ray the data is not compressed so its not JUST used for movies

also as far as games go, i bought my ps3 when it came out and 5 months later had 2 games, there was only 1 racing game out and all the others sucked, im sure its gotten better but the 360 line has way more to offer, there might not be be exclusives but who cares, i can play gta on 360 and the online setup is 1000 times better, also we have forza which is no turismo but it does the job, and i can really go on forever, call of duty4 is great which is out for both and madden looks way better on 360, so really you cant knock 360 for games cuz we have plenty or good ones to choose from, and this is coming from some1 that wont even touch halo , the only game id want thats exclusive to ps3 is medal gear and gt, other than that theres nothing else id really look forward to which is why i sold my ps3 which i had bought for 600, and got my elite with a full online setup for 450, so really who loses here?

Intill now but Metal Gear GT5 Final Fantasy , Tekken, Resistance uhh 360 dosent get none of that. and online is free for ps3 so you cant compare that!

resistance was great i loved that, final fantasy i never got into and fighting games arent for me either, im into shooters and racing games, but in place of resistance 360 has halo, which i dont play cuz i love cod4, and like i said before for gt5 we have forza2 which is a good game, and yea we do have to pay to go online but its way more organized than ps3, its way easier to message and dl shit, the whole setup blows away ps3 so for like 12 dollars or w.e it is i dont even really care, i thought i would but dont

the only games that mattered to me when i had ps3 were gt5 and gta, but when gta got pushed back that did it for me bcuz there was no selection to choose from and gt5 wasnt going to be out for like a year, and all the good popular games are out for both ... the only thing il say owns the 360 is how quiet the ps3 is, i feel like sometimes i should keep my 360 in the other room so i dont have to listen to it

NO I only did that to sa that the whole game calling crap by saying the ps3 dosent have any I wasent comparing it sir so right back at cha.

xbox really belives in quality with the amount of consoles break down you really do get what you pay for

i havent had one issue, and last time i checked there has been a steady increase in the amount of blue ray players that have gone bad and needed replacement with the ps3, hell theres even a couple kids on here that have that issue right now, i think people have issues with 360 cuz of where they store it, mine is in the open and is always clean and i mever leave it on and go out like some people do, i havent had one issue so its w.e
