pro street is really a "non-hardcore sim" than an arcade game. much like PGR, Grid, Toca or NFS Porsche unleashed.

the rest of the NFS' yes, are arcade.

no, its not really. it doesnt have accurate physics, but the gameplay mechanics are fare from being arcade style. (or atleast, thats what i gather from the demo)

the Step up from physics to go from GRID to Forza is about the same as it is to go from Forza to any random PC Sim, like GTR.

Arcade =
Rush series, Crusin USA/World/etc, Burnout, Ridge Racer, Midnight Club, NFS Underground etc.

well i didn't mean that much of an arcade racer.. i was just saying it was arcade style meaning it doesn't have life like driving physics but that's about it

so was mine, until they started coming out with a lot more BluRays. A Playstation 3 cost just as much as a BluRay player so that wasn't too bad of an investment

I really need to get a netflix account, blockbuster has a terrible blu-ray selection.

IDK, maybe it's the games I have (COD4, NFS:PS and motor storm) are too short and buying new ones is kind of expensive. It also could be that I came from a PS2 where there were tons of ports and a lot of exclusive titles. For PS3 there are only a handful of exclusive titles and and the rest are just 360 ports, and most of the ports aren't as good on PS3 as they are on 360.

eh i guess it depends on having a 360 as well. to me, the 360 has a bunch of games that are on PC, yet much better on PC. Then Halo, Forza 2 and a some JRPGs. considering JRPGs all suck, that leaves the 360 with Halo adn Forza 2 for me. pass.

while i find games like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Rachet and Clank, quite short at about 6-8 hours each, there are still a handful of them to get through, exclusive or not, (since i dont have a PS3) not to mention GTAIV which is about 30 hours.

games like GT5, Formula One Championship have tons of replay value seeing as they are sims. you dont really "finish" a sim, you keep working on your times, your tuning for each track things like that. even in the "Demo" GT5 there are TONS and TONS of hours to be had. im just getting into Formula One CE and its a 2006 game and we are in the 2008 season.

dunno, just seems like to me, i dont have enough time to get through the games id like to. im still juggling Formula One CE, GTAIV, and MGS4 on PS3. Rachet and Clank has not even been in the system yet. i still want to rent Lair, Resistance, Folklore, and Motorstorm. and i need to rerent Uncharted to finish it up. to me, there seems to be much more games than i can afford to buy or even rent at 7.99 nowadays.

not to mention im playing Half Life 2 Episode 2 on PC, and CoD4 multiplayer on PC as well.

Between MGS4, GTA4, GT5P, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, GRID, and Super Stardust HD my PS3 stays pretty busy. Not to mention the internet, Blu-Ray abilities, and the awesome music-playing function on it as well. I could understand a year or two ago it being a paperweight, but every month this thing just seems to get better and better now. There's PLENTY to use it for anymore!

I'm buying a PS3 just for this game... it's really the only thing I'm looking forward to with the system since I have a stand-alone BD player.
