GT5/Prologue looks great but are the only Hondas available in the game are the Acura RSX and NSX? If there is a Civic are we talking Fast and the Furious and last gen's hatchback only? I saw Top Gear and I hope he we get the USD Civic in the game and not the Euro version (Jeremy Clarkson bashed it big time).

Just finished the game, all you get is the gt-r prototype which is disappointing. it does unlock the f1 car for you to purchase which is a meager 2,000,000 credits. Enjoyable game and yes some of the s class races are difficult but not impossible. I really liked the handling of the tuned s2000 for the 700 pt. races.

Well the site says it supports GT HD on the PS3. I'm assuming that they'll make it work for GT5. I'd definitely consider selling a kidney to get both GT5 and the G25!! Hahah... or at least holding off on any car mods in the near future.
Seems like PIX111 got it. How is it with GT5 prologue?? |

its a PC wheel but it works with PS3. they released a "PS3 version" which is exactly the same except it says PS3 on the package. it should work with most driving games, the thing is that it cannot replicate the controller like the other wheels can. so you still need to use a conroller for menus.
and GT always gives JDM hondas, and sometimes a USDM NSX. i dont think ive iver played a GT game with a USDM Integra/Civic/Accord. |

After my first day of play here it is I am blown away with the response of each car and the different feel you get from them . The G25 was the only reason I bought GT5 after seeing someone play it I knew this would be my calling . It is kinda hard at least for me to get used to the G25 shifter is nice pedals are awesome feel pretty damn real.I think my favorite thing would be the force feedback. My biggest problem was the price 300$ is pretty pricy but you get what you pay for , i know they are releasing a new one for GT5 The Logitech Driving Force GT Wheel the 14th at 150$$
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ga.../4172&cl=us,en. Well I am going back for a few more laps dont think I will be working today !!!!! |

As for those looking to make money to save for faster cars. Your best bet would be to race online, but that is only if your good. When i had to start over for the us version (I thought the cars and money I had in the Japanese's version would transfer) i just bought the type r and raced online for a few races. Bought the GTR and use that car for the all the event races that didn't ask for a certain car. You will find that you have the money for all the cars you need when done.

Yeah, just go to a track you like in time trail and test out using the wheel against the controller. You will see that you can turn into corners faster and even keep the wheel turn at a angle rather than if your using the controller you would if you have to much play.

The feeling of feedback you get from a wheel should allow you to drive with fewer driver aids on, which will typically allow for a faster time once you get used to a car. I'm going to get the DFGT when it comes out, I imagine. It's got the larger diameter wheel than the DFP and should have better feedback.
If you watch the "Beyond the Apex" documentary, you'll see that pretty much all of the testers and programmers are using the DFP and not the G25. If you're only going to play Gran Turismo and no other games, the G25 is probably overkill. GT doesn't support the clutch pedal. Last edited by civsnake; 04-24-2008 at 01:32 PM. |

GT5p does support the clutch. Just press triangle when the race starts and it will be in use. The only down fall is that each race you have to turn it on. Buy the DFP if you don't see yourself using the clutch, but if you want to use it go for it. The G25 works with other games even though its not listed on the main website.

G25 looks awesome, probably feels awesome, but it's worth like a xbox 360 or 6 PS3 games or 3 games and the Driving Force Pro! Decisions decisions...
So... can you stall/grind if you use the G25?? Or does the GT5P game physics not simulate the clutch that accurately (since the support is not explicitly stated)? |
