Socom Confrontation!

Now there is an official Socom Confrontation site, with forums and everything, to talk about the good things and bad things, about the game.

the game is launching on Sep 16th, and i can't wait, am a hardcore socom fan of the first 2 games on the PS2, and now Confrontation is going back to its roots.

here is the site joing it and talk about anything socom on there, some of the guys from Slant Six are receiving feedback from the members, there will be a beta soon, i hope i can get in it. Socom is the reason i purchase my PS3.

Yea the game will release on sep 16th, i know its been a while but i rather wait on them to bring out a good game, then let them release some garbage.

If this game is as good as Socom 2 was, i will not be playing many other games that will also launch around the same time.

yeah i hear you. i am waiting for GTA 4 and that will hold me over till june which is when bad company comes out. then cod4 gets thrown in the garbage. worthless game

socom 2 was my all time favorite game! socom 3 ruined it for me and i stopped playing. im hoping that confrontation will bring back the love i had for this game.

i hope confrontation doesnt add vehicles as add-ons. that would really ruin it for me. socom 1 and 2 were awesome and 3 just sucked. couldn't get into socom 3 at all.

dude i played socom since the first one... then i bought xbox.. i havent played it since.. but if my internet still worked for my ps2 id get on right now lol..

Those previews where 1 year old, they have not shown what the game is going to be like as of now, they said alot of the things are fix(thats why it was delay for like a year and half), but the game is going to be great now, just go to SOCOM.com - PS3™, PS2®, & PSP® - Screenshots, Videos, Game Features, Forums, Message Boards and read on it. they will be bringing some new videos of gameplay soon, not to mention the beta that should be out soon also, i hope to make it to the beta so that i can give them some feedback on the game.

Socom II was pretty much the best 3rd or 1st person shooter I've ever played on line. I spent hours on that.Crossroads and Foxhunt were the best. Especially being a sniper.

The beta for Socom Confrontation will be release on September 1st. and there are 2 way to get it, you can go to gamestop and pre-oder the game and you will get a code to join the beta on the 1st and also 2 extra codes to invite 2 of your friends to the beta, or if you have the first episode of quore you can download the beta from there until Sep 8th.

I have the episode of quore, but i don't want to wait until the 8th to play the beta, so if anyone on here has pre-oder the game at gamespot and has an extra code let me know, so i can join the beta on the 1st.

I can't wait for this game to come out.

i've been playing socom since the end of 2003. i was really competitive on GB and was in some of the top squads and clans on the site gamebattles for a very long time. i'll be buying a ps3 soon for this game

oh haha forgot to say.. i got the beta and have been playing it for the month or so its been out.. and so far /6 put out 5 patches.. theres gonna be one last one tmrw..

but since the first day it came out(just loading into a game took about 5-6min and sometimes the game would just freeze), till now(the load times are MUCH quicker but are somewhat slow compared to xboxlive)... the game has improved dramatically. Although some of the patches created defects(such as no scores on the scoreboard, not being able to join games, etc.)

but hopefully tmrw they will have everything all summed up and in good condition for the release date... which is the 14th(nextt tuesday)!!
