Red Ring of Death. How many times have you had it?

Just curious how many times people have had this.

This is my second time and Microsoft is lagging hardcore. Ive called 3 times already and they cant process my request because of my address. This was yesterday BTW. So they are supposed to call me tonight and some specialist is supposed to help me. WTF??

it happens sometimes when you move it. as long as it keeps working play it. Sometimes i had to sit on the xbox and turn it on to get it to work. When mine wouldn't turn it on anymore with the red lights i called microsoft and they got me a new one within a month.

Just got the red ring of death yesterday for the first time! Console hadn't even been on for 1 minute before it went red. I don't play my Xbox 360 that often either. Tried unplugging the console and restarting it..... no luck. Microsoft is sending the box so I can send it in for service. My friend said he has gotten the red ring periodically and that it goes away. Mine unforunately does not.

Go to this site Sign In fill out your info and they will send you a box. You pack your console into the box and send it to microsoft. There is nothing a technician is going to be able to help you with over the phone. If you have the red ring of death get it fixed immediately if it is still under warranty.

BTW not trying to make light of the situation, but i had to send in my red ring x-box last month and I got it back within 2 weeks.

Not a bad turnaround in my case, and I have heard Microsoft is getting faster with the wait time.

Im on my third 360 so far, glad I always bought the warranty from gamestop, until now they stopped selling the extended warranty because they were swapping out to many 360s.

.... just when I was gonna say "use an anitbiotic to get rid of it or a steroidal creme"

That red ring is one reason why I flop back and forth between an Xbox and a PS3.

I've the original X. My boy is on his 3rd 360. Microsoft replaced them each time. This 3rd box came with a freebie game and seems okay for now. GL
