PS3 not reading games!?

I was playing COD4 and then the screen just blanked out. I restarted the system and it did not read the game disc. I tried 2 other games and it still did not read. I put in a DVD and it worked fine. Anyone else have this problem?

no. try a BD-R movie if you have one. the BD laser may be the culprit. i hope your in warranty, otherwise that sucks, PS3s have been seeing quite low failure rates which is a shocker considering Sony's past.

Called Sony and told them my problem. They are now sending me a cardbox box with prepaid shipping to send them back my PS3. They are replacing my console with a brand new one under the 1 year warranty. They said turn around time after I send my console is 10-14 business days.

It's the 60 GB. Bought it before the 40-80 GB versions were released.
