NFS Pro Street Sucks!
I've been playing Pro Street on ps3 for a couple days now - I'm at 20% and I don't think I'm going to try to get any farther. I think this game is absolute CRAP compared to NFS Carbon and previous versions... here's why:
1) RYAN COOPER RYAN COOPER RYAN COOPER - Are you kidding me? I don't think I've ever played a video game where it had a more annoying audio bit than this. What's the point? It would be one thing to hear it after he won every race but before, during and after!?!? Did the developers play this game for more than 5 minutes? Maybe they played with the sound off - just plain ANNOYING. You would think that after testing this and seeing how many times they heard RYAN COOPER that they would at least have an option to turn it off. 2) Damage - Many will dispute this - but what I liked best about previous versions of NFS was that you could crash into stuff, ram other cars, do whatever the hell you wanted without causing damage to your car. Let's face it, there are other games out there that provide a more "realistic" gaming experience when it comes to driving... Gran Turismo, Forza but when it comes to NFS this is what it made it great... tune your car, make it fast and do whatever you want with it. Now I have to repair my car after almost every race!! Even if I drive clean for the whole race one of the other cars could ram into me when I brake hard causing damage... STUPID. Again make it an option to turn it off. 3) Plot - NFS Carbon had at least some sort of plot. There was a storyline that made you want to keep playing to beat other people, overtake other 'areas' of the city and become the best racer among everybody. Where is this in Pro Street? Granted you have all five areas to beat that make you a 'pro' of the street, or how they display it as a king, but again, where's the story line? Anybody else think this game was a giant waste of money? ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by memax06si; 12-20-2007 at 11:03 PM. |

I agree with all your points. hmmm...I missed the old school NFS's Underground I & II, Most Wanted and what you mention the Carbon. When i played pro street it took a while to get use to the controls!!! seriously cause i was so use to the controls for the old NFS's i don't know...that's just me...anyways as for the storyline they should have done something like that for the past NFS's and I'm at 10% b/c finals and school in the way hopefully i'll get back on track. I can't seem to beat that "sector" level w/ the pontiac gto's...whatever...if i can't get passed level then yeaa...i say its a waste of money...Graphics are greatt! I'll see what i can do when i play...lol That was my opinion.

I hate how you can buy a civic hatch and you have to keep the stock motor and you can't swap it! I spent over 100,000 in the engine for 298hp!!!!! Why is a turbo kit 18,000 and some pistons and rods for a d series are 45,000 dollars!!!!!And ryan cooper lol what a tool

well nfs used to be great, once underground came out thats when they started making shitty games, all the ones before this like hot pursuit 2, high stakes, hot pursuit those are great games these right here are just wack. autosculpt reminds me of something you'd see somebody pick up from like bodykits.com or something like that, too many pep boys like stuff in the game. and if you can't handle the damage learn to race better so they wont hit you. and how exactly can u say it doesnt have a story line since your only 20% done, play some more like maybe 50% then make arguments. take it love it embrace it hate it. or just go play it.

I like it. It's just the ricer garbage to get rid of my urge to modify my civic anymore than it is. I look at how much money you have to put into it (fake money), and it doesn't compare to how much time and effort it costs in real life.
Ryan Cooper...really annoying, but at least the voice actors change between stages...too bad the stages take a long time, and you have to listen to the announcer ON the track. I still hold that NFS U2 was the best NFS ever. NFS MW comes in a close second for sheer enjoyment (F the police!) |

I was glad to see someone post their dislikes for the game. The only other thread seems to praise the game to no end. I have several friends who returned the game the same day they bought it out of pure dissatisfaction. They did so for many different reasons, but all in all that the game =sucks

Well I liked it. Yeah I said it. I liked this game. You can actually lower the volume of the voices to 0% so they won't BOTTEr you anymore. The only thing that I dislike is that he's always wearing the same outfit
. They did a DECENT job with the controls as there are racelines now instead of the GOOD OL take a corner going 120mph+. They have a good variety of cars. Even though the numbers are a bit OFF when it comes to mods and 1/4 times. Its still fun to see the difference in performance and sounds when you MOD a car. Parts are so expensive, I guess to make them Harder to get. -N lets not even discuss the whole storyline stuff. Freaking NFS Carbon had the corny dude with the red jacket and crooked cops. The only thing I miss, is the free world driving from Underground 2 and the crazy police chases from Carbon. ![]() |

It was fun for me too. I do miss the free roam feature, but guess they wanted to eliminate virtual street racing. There's a whole lot more tuning options than carbon as well, and just for kicks I tried the unlockallthings or whatever it was. Stage 4 everything! 1000+bhp r34 skyline, fun times. |

And yes, i love this cheat I have my STi for completing career mode (and yeah, it doesn't ruin career mode), and the veyron-killing skyline for just-for-the-hell-of-it. |

Lmaoooo ^ +1. You're asking why? There's an endless list for names. It's impossible to announce them all out.
There will always be an unsatisfied customer. There's people that like driving simulation games. There's people that like taking a 90degree corner at 120mph+ even though its impossible. I say enjoy it or trade it. |

Love the game...one of the most realistic in driving experience out of all the NFSs. Damage was a must...it think it just plain stupid to play a racing game with no damage on.
I hate Ryan Coooooooper. I still can't decide on the story line. wish you could sell the old parts once you upgrade to better one. |
