Any PSP game recomendations?

What's up guys

I've pretty much been a Nintendo guy for as long as I could remember. The X-box came along and I ended up liking it also. But I never was a fan of the Playstation for some reason. Maybe I just haven't been exposed to nice games.

Do you guys know of any good RPG's, shooters, or action-adventure games for the PSP w/ a decent fun factor? I was just wondering if the PSP is a good choice for a Christmas gift for my brother...

Action Games:
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles

RPG:
Final Fantasy

Shooter:
SOCOM

Wierd:
Metal Gear AC!D
Metal Gear AC!D 2

Yes, the DS would probably be a better gift. DS + Elite Beat Agents. Done.

God Of War wasn't into it at first, but got really into it when my lil bro was playin it on PS2. They just released a new one for the PSP.

They need to hurry up and put one out for the PS3, if it's even going to happen seeing Heavenly Sword is the equivlant.

All the Final Fantasy remakes are on PSP, and are supposedly really well done. The one game a real RPG guy can't do without is the new Final Fantasy Tatics for PSP. The original remains as one of my favorites of all time. I liked it so much I almost want to buy a PSP just for that one game.....I wish PS3 could play PSP games.

I thought only FF1's revamp was available on PSP right now?

Yikes, good thing they're cheap. Seems to be about 1 FF remake about every 6 months or so? Can't wait for FFV and VI to get made over!

I already thoroughly trashed everything in my FF6 for my PSP (including all end-game extra dungeons, like the Dragon King) as well as my FF1 (haven't gotten too far on FF2).

castlevania chronicles is great. that's the rondo of blood remake that was only released in japan for the pc engine turbo duo (turbografix cd). both the original (great game and classic soundtrack) and the remake as well as castlevania symphony of the night are included. its a pretty decent buy. if you play the original you'll see that a lot of the sprites from the original rondo make there way into other castlevania games. pretty cool considering its a pretty old game.

Okay, you convinced me to get Castlevania. Anything with Symphony of the Night is good enough for me!!!

Daxter is great on PSP and so is Burnout Legends. I love my little PSP -- movies, games, music, it's a lot of bang for the buck. Read up the reviews on the new slim model though. You may be better off getting a used 1st gen one. I was able to find one in mint condition with a couple games for $100. BTW - Psyclone makes a really great speaker system for it.

yo izzy, symphony and the original version are unlockable modes. you need to find the items in the game. they are either inside a wall that you can break with your whip or a candle... you can always gamefaqs if you need to find them... i don't remember them being to hard to find.

Sweeet! I'm still sad my ORIGINAL copy of SotN (with the black sidebar instead of Greatest Hits) was utter scratched to hell by my cousin! ...now my valuable games (Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for PS2 and Xbox) are firmly stuck in my room. No one borrows those!
