ROCK BAND - review??

I am about to go pick up Rock Band for the 360... i'm super excited to rock out but a little apprehensive to spend nearly $200 for a game... anyone got it? Is it worth it?

I also have ALL the guitar hero games for the PS2, which unfortunately my little sister is better at then me. I don't know if i can handle the humiliation of losing a drum battle now.

I played it, pretty fun. I don't have it, so my experience is limited. I do like that fact that it's more Co-Op than head-to-head.

The guitar I used was broken though, it only strums upwards, and it was really sensitive to it. However, it was still fun to play "(Don't Fear) The Reaper)". COWBELL!

I really don't like it. I opted not to get it after playing it in BB. Try playing it first.

Just got the game yesterday and had some friends over last night... this is a perfect party game. Everyone was laughing and having a good time trying to figure out the drums and singing kareoke. And since I got the game and all the peripherals from walmart for $50, I think it was a pretty good choice.

From what I hear they are scrapping all the current add ons, or at least the guitar and new ones won't be available until March.

yep, $50. not a typo. there was no way i was going to pay $170 or more for this game.

i bought my new xbox a couple of months ago and it came with 5 games for $450. (sweet deal in itself) It came with Bioshock, Half Life orange box, two worlds, forza 2 and marvel. I didn't even open Half life or two worlds since i had no interest in playing those games. So I took them to walmart and told them they were a gift, but since i don't play those types of games and they were unopened, they offered to give me FULL store credit for them both. $120 credit! they didn't want to help at first, but with a little flirting with the assistant manager, she said "just this once, I'll help you out."

I was lucky enough to find Rock Band a few days after launch just sitting there at Target.

I saw it in the afternoon, but left it there deciding that I didn't think I wanted it that bad. Then I got home and thought about it for awhile and went back a few hours later to see if it was still there. Sure enough, it was still sitting in the same place, so I scooped it up. I took it home, super excited and put the disc in and then....Red Ring of Death. Booooo! Should be getting my 360 back this week or early next week (which is good since Finals are coming up).

Recently sold my Rock Band guitar on eBay for $66; got 2 GH controllers that I like a little better anyway.

where are these recalls? The strumming is very unpredictable with the guitar. Do the GUITAR HERO guitars work for this game?

I played this for the forst time last night. The square or rectangle notes are a lil different and take some getting use to. But the songs are awesome and the game really is alot of fun.

That's a shame, because it's the best game I have played in many years. Anyone that calls themself a gamer should own that game.
