do you get anything for online play if you beat the game offline. Socom unlocked a ghilli suit, special characters and some special weapons depending on what level you beat it on.

good question, but i haven't beaten the game offline. online is so much fun that i have focused on that rather than single player.

btw went prestige again, level 8

Im getting an error while trying to get on to online play, my psn and pss is working just not online cod 4 [error 33]

i've beaten the single player game a few times now on various difficulties and unlocked all the cheats, but this hasn't equated to unlocking any online goodies like in socom.

true but it is not long before i get the m4.

m4, ak47, mp5, m16 and rarely a sniper is all i play with unless i'm doing the weapon challenges.

So tonight i decided to replay the single player mode ans i decided to check out the cheats that i had earned.Has it occured to anyone that although COD4 may go down in history as one of the best first person shooters of all time Infinity Ward gave us some sorry ass cheats and perks.Maybe its just me but I think eavesdropping and the ability to change contrast were some very poor attempts at actual game cheats

Eavesdropping will come in VERY handy in team match play. That perk is solid gold in a serious match game. If the other team is actually talking strategy and tactics on the mic instead of kids screaming and babies crying and you're crafty enough to get close enough to hear a peep of this, that is the ultimate advantage.

I'm sorry, but I will have to disagree.The perks are awesome. So many combinations to fit your style, from things for the kamikaze player to players who want to sneak around like freaking ninjas.

no no no I agree that it would come in handy in a serious game but honestly out of 10 team deathmatches how many are really serious and require some strategy and how many team death matches out of 10 do you have to listen to some 10yo running his mouth about absolutley nothing.

i will agree that the 'cheats' after beating the game are lame such as the contrast one, but i disagree as the perks do serve a pupose.

i just switch games when one gets old and come back to it in a few weeks and its new again. like right now i am playing alot of "skate" cause cod4 is real easy for me online.
