yeah there are a couple others threads full of speculation, but this thread is for the Full Game.

Post when you buy the game, discuss, post your cuztomized cars, prospective buyers ask questions that for people with the game to answer..

no. its out for everything except XBOX 1, and Gamecube.

however the PS3/X360/PC versions are the same and the Wii, DS, PS2 and PSP are all different, im not sure how much though.

Went to pick it up for my PS2 today @ Best Buy and they didn't even have it out. They had the Wii version out but no the PS2. Then I looked at the User's Guide Book and they listed all of the cars in the game... apparantly the PS2 version doesn't have like 8 or 9 of the cars which sucks b/c they're all of the awesome cars that I wanted to play as. The FG2, Integra Type R, NSX, etc.

I got so mad so now I'm not sure what to do... I really really wanted this game to use the FG2.

If any of you have it for the PS2, let me know if the FG2 is in it or not b/c the guide book said "Only in X-Box 360, PS3, and PC".

Ok some infor about the starting cars.

You start out with a Silvia S13 and use that in 1 race. then the tournament, they provide the cars because in this particular type all the cars have to be the same. you get a Golf GTi for the first stages (stock + N20) and then you get to choose between a Cobalt SS or EK Hatch (both modded to 265HP) for the drag race. At the end you get to choose between a (the 265HP) Cobalt SS or EK Hatch as a prize.

These are the cars that are unlocked from the start and their cost: i had about 27,900 after the end of the tournament so you can see how long it will take you to get a car.

Acura RSX not Type-S 21,000
Chevy Colbalt SS 27,000
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 33,000
Dodge Charger R/T Classic 30,000
Dodge Challenger R/T Classic 38,000
Honda Civic Si 24,000
Honda Civic DX EK Hatch 16,000
Mazda RX-8 28,000
Mitsubishi Eclipse 2nd Gen GSX 18,000
Nissan Silvia S15 Turbo 30,000
Nissan 240SX (S13) 15,000
Pontiac GTO '65 25,000
Subaru Impreza WRX STI 06-07 29,000

About the gameplay. i think its pretty good. its improved from the demo. also the tracks are more technical than the demo track. Willow Springs is in. also you can take off ABS/Traction control and stability control.

in the drag mode, you do a burn out before the race to heat up the tires, and the better the burnout it effects your launch.

an odd thing is that i think that only RWD cars are allowed to dirft...

overall i think this game is great so far.

i wonder how the drifting in it is. is the drifting more realistic? i hate it when you turn and you suddenly start sliding like crazy. hopefully theres technique to it, like counter steering. so anyone who has it, what did you think of it? I'm kinda interested in someone with the PS3 version replying cuz i noticed that in Carbon, the PC drifting was different to the Console drifting. PC was more realistic than the console version was. i dunno why they did that.

i have not gotten to any drift stages yet. see the thing with this game, my one problem so far, is that you have to pick what type of race you will enter the car in the day you buy it.

so when you buy a car, you pick drift, and it can ONLY enter drift races.

this actually is more realistic, because drifting takes highly modified suspensions that are useless for anything else, except that there should be a crossover between the speed challenge and drag..if you build a drag car i dont know why it it cant do the speed challenge.

ive been reading reviews on it and it doesnt seem to be doing that well. should i go by the reviews? i dont want to spend $60 and regret it.

depends on what you like.

my main problems with the game are overcomplicated menus and lack of quick race.

at times it seems as its trying too hard to be a realistic (i dont mean gameplay wise) amature track experience.

gameplay wise i think the game is great.

maybe try renting it, but while if you dont like it, its $52 saved, if you do like it, its $8 wasted.
