WARNING...link contains spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!

Only read the link once you've FINISHED the game!!!!

As for me, I thought the sci-fi plot in the beginning was a little lame and it didn't capture my interest too much. Then I beat it the other day. This game just got a whole lot more interesting. Everything makes much more sense after beating it now and reading the provided link. MAKE SURE you guys go through the emails on the computer, it will help you understand a lot more. By computers, I mean the log-in computers by the Animus. I can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2!! I love these kind of conspiracies and crazy plot twists.

Try going through the entire game using only the hidden blade. Then it won't be so easy.

Assassin's Creed is amazing. To those who've complained about poor controls, stop trying to play the game like any other game you've played-- the control system is brilliant & incredibly intuitive.

For the ones who say the story-line is boring, that's your perogative-- I disagree completely. I think the game is incredibly intriguing; I can't wait to see what happens next. Maybe sci-fi isn't your cup of tea.

Also, can someone report the first post in this thread to have it moved to the gaming subforum?

I like AC for being single player only. It's kind of nice to rely on myself for once.

Just started it last night.....wow. Unnessecary start. Dont really mind it....but I certainly could have done without it. It doesnt add anything to the game for me....yet. Obviosly I dont know how that will play out in the long run. But for now....it seems to just stick out like a sore thumb. Gotta love the horse. I wish there were some more unique fighting moves.

So far its great. I just got my horse and im ready for action at the first new area. The leap of faith is great when you dont know its coming....

Also, something I dont get.....when I go to the first new place on the horse....am I supposed to kill all the guards? The game gives conflicting instructions in regards to stealth and killing archers and guards first. Do I kill them stealthfully as I go, or do I get in close and kill the few that I need to and then come back and deal with them later?

personally, i just like to perform the running assassination on one of the guards first, like when they're screwing with a citizen. after that, you might get one more off if they're shocked

Ok. So you just go in there and start a shit storm? Then battle it out until you get to the person you wanna kill?

Or you blend and go unnoticed until you get close to the target then eliminate the people you will have an issue with after you kill the mark and go after your target and get the F outta dodge?

Im afraid to start killing the guards....they make it sounds like that will not allow you to infiltrate and get to the target...kinda like Hitman.

Can someone clear this up?

i typically knock out archers on the roofs first. i'll either a, grab and shove them off the roof, or just grab and knock them on the ground, pull out hidden blade and clear them. i typically do that for the majority of the area i'm gonna be in. after that, save some citizens in the area so when you're being chased (which you will be) run through the crowd you helped, and they'll delay the gaurds for a bit.

at the actual assasination, i just usually go right up to him and lay it on them, after that duke it out, and gtfo of dodge after you clear up some troops. although, it is fun to just be a total badass and lay it on everyone. you are death's angel after all.

Game encourages choice. If you want to kill the guards, go right ahead. You can sneak past them pretty easily & avoid a confrontation altogether, though.

One of the best games I've ever played. ever.

My buddy picked it up a couple weeks ago.
He's out of town now and I feel weak w/o my daily fix.

ok, after the second night of playing and getting through the first assasination they really dont do an excellent job explaining how much killing is in involved. they make it sound like you need to avoid killing people until you get to your target....not at all the case.

so far its excellent, but much different than i thought it would be at first.

While I understand what you're saying, by killing people indescriminately, you're increasing the difficulty of the hit. Guards will be more alert & take up higher positions. Crowds will be more likely to rat you out for doing something socially unacceptable. Etc, etc.

By going about things slowly & only killing people covertly (ie avoiding an out & out fight), you'll find the assassination much easier.
