ign gave it a disappointing review. but other places have given it 9+. im getting mixed signals x_X
anyone have it on ps3? how is it?

7.7 isn't bad....they said it didn't fully live up to expectations.

my brother bought it, im not all that impressed. its kind of boring early in the game, maybe the end will be better?

I judge a games greatness on if it is good enuff to keep me from watching Beverly Hills 90210 when I get home from work. Because 90210 is my code, my motto, my creedo if you may. After seeing the review, I'll watch 90210

I heard the AI is dumb in Assassin's Creed, which would be very bad because without intelligent AI how can you have a good stealth/action single player game! Kane and Lynch is also supposedly not that good either (according to ign.com) because of bad cover system and not so great gameplay. I'll give them both a rent, but I'm not shelling out $60 + tax if at least one reputable game review company (IGN) doesn't think they are so great. I'm having tons of fun with COD 4 anyway.

As far as the game goes, its different, took me awhile to get used to... BUT once you get the hang of it its a whole lot of fun.

I agree about it being different. I think it's not what people are expecting/are used to. This causes people to be turned off by it. The AI is a little sketchy, but not to the point where it causes serious problems in my opinion.

One thing which does throw some people off is that it isn't a stealth game per-se. You don't stalk in the shadows hoping not to be seen. You hide in plain sight. To avoid attention you simply don't perform actions which draw attention to yourself (knocking people over, running and climbing things, etc.)

I don't know if it is the game of the year, but it has great graphics, a unique control scheme, a very fun ability to climb just about anything, and some simple but addictive combat (though I can see how some find it repetitive). I really enjoy the game.

If you have doubts then rent it first. It is obviously the type of game some will love and some will be board with.

If you like a game that hooks you into it within the first 30 minutes of gameplay, then this IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU. With that being said, maybe the end of the game might have some redeaming qualitys, but I for one will not waste my time.

man, just bought this game yesterday...ended up playing till 3:00AM this morning lol. 7:00AM work FTMFL!

this game is pretty amazing, i was really really impressed with the graphics actually. I've heard that it actually runs better on the 360 then it does on the ps3

i love this game. its one of the hottest ive played in a while. the graphics are insane.

i personally think it's a pretty good game. it's fun, looks AMAZING on a HD TV. Riding the horse really reminds me of ocarina of time personally. I love the ability to climb anything you want, and as far as the AI, the combat really isn't THAT challenging, but it is pretty cool how people notice you and shtuff
