so i borrowed the PS3 version from a coworker..this is what i think vs. the PC version.

graphics:
wow not even close. the PC has it beat easily. true if you have dont have a high end graphics card the PS3 will look better, but if you do, holy crap its not even funny the differences. they are about dead even on the effects like blurring, lighting, smoke etc, but on the models are more inticatly details, as the textures and shadows are tremendously better. im playing at 1680x1050 which is technically 1050P. i dont know why they are not up to par with the PC. ive seen insanley good graphics on PS3 in things like heavenly sword. in the final battle there are like thousands of NPCs and oh my god its looksfantastic.

gameplay:
the PS3 has good controls for a console yes, but it has nothing on the PC. everything has to be dummied up for the console controller. the hit boxes are huge. if i aim somewhere near the player its a hit, and if i aim actually on the player its an easy kill. they even have a feature where you can double tap L1 and auto aim. oh god. of course i turned that off.

glad i got it for PC. for those without PCs its still good, the missions seem to be identical, but anyone considering it for the PC should definetly go for the PC version if you can even run it at medium graphics.

then theres your problem you should have used a 1080p tv cause even the developers have said it looks better on a ps3 than the other 2 formats

uhh no thats not my problem. textures dont magically get better and models dont magically get more intricate just because the resolution is higher.

the largest difference is detail in the textures. if i had said it looked fuzzy or jagged edged than maybe youd be right.

480i<<480p<<1080i<720p<<1080p

technically 1080i only displays a resolution of 1920x540 but it switches fields every other frame to make it look like 1920x1080. you really end up with something close to as good as 720p but you will see the two fields "splitting apart" in fast movement:

does any one know why cod 4 doesnt want to play in 1080p on my tv my tv supports it and its connected with hdmi cables but it downconverts to 720, other bluray dvds work fine but not this one and the back of the box says it supports it

edit: never mind found the answer but for those who need it too go to settings then display and uncheck 480 and 720 so you force the game to run in 1080p aparently you have to do this or the game wont run in 1080p
