With all the people online with Xbox, Gears of War (which I own at), SKATE, not to mention HALO3..

I own an XBOX360, so obviously I prefer it.

My cousin has a PS3 and he rarely plays it. There aren't that many great games for it right now. I say great because in my opinion a game has to be great to be worth $60. This will change eventually. There are quite a few promising games on the horizon for the PS3. But right now it isn't worth the money.

Edit: As far as which is the better choice right now. I would say the XBOX360. I realize that there are great games coming soon for the PS3, but if you buy a 360 right now you can walk into a game store and have a good selection of great used games. It would be much cheaper to establish a library of great games with a 360 right now.

yeah but PS3 is gonna be the console of the future. they just need more games, cuz xbox360 has way more. i've always been a playstation guy, so i plan on getting a PS3 as soon as i get an HDtv..........[as soon as i get a job]

halo 3 isnt even that great. i dont see wat all the hub-bub is. my friend and i beat that game in one night. and i could care less for the online play-dont u have to pay for xbox live? is PS3 online free? cuz i know ps2 online is....

Right now the 360's got all the games and stuff for it mostly due to its earlier release. The PS3 though does have a big future ahead of it with Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid 4 so far plus more.

I own the big 3. I rarely touch the ps3. they keep digging themselves further in a hole. Now the new ps3 is not backward compatible? That is less of a reason to buy the system. Last month Sony sold roughly 115k units while xbox and the wii sold over 500k. Sony is not bringing out big exclusive titles. All of the big exclusives they have made by 3rd parties are now also coming out on the 360. There is no incentive for a company to make ps3 only titles because it means they will sell fewer copies. Ps3 shot themselves in the foot with GTA4, MGS, and RE not coming out this year. And they further hurt themselves by Madden being such piss on the ps3. I bought it on the ps3, it sucked so bad, my wife bought me a xbox 360 elite and madden on it

Mark my words, in the near future, Square will start making games for the 360. Final Fantasy will one day appear on the 360. To the credit of the ps3, the DVD playback is incredible. But what answer does Sony have to Halo3, and the heavy hitting MarioZelda/smash brothers games coming out this year or have already come out?

I love my PS3. barley use it for games. mostly as a media center and blu-ray player. i had a 360 and sold it.

I read somewhere that microsoft struck a deal with Rockstar Games to have exclusive extras included in the GTA4 for XBOX360. Sony wasn't willing to pay for these extra's, and so microsoft jumped on board ... If thats true, Sony dropped the ball badly. They just gave their franchise game to their competition.

I really think the PS3 has awesome potential, but like others have already said, sony doesn't have the game lineup or online play that xbox360 has ... Im a Sony man, but right now, xbox360 wins.

anyone remember the xbox vs. PS2 battle where the PS2 had like over a year lead and still ended up losing. I think this battle is a chance for playstation to make a comeback especially if they make use of the blu-ray capablilites. BTW, i have all the systems (modded xbox, xbox 360, ps2, ps3, wii, modded psp)

I am waiting for socom:confrontation to come out which i know will boost ps3 ratings considering how many people played socom for ps2
