PS3 VS Xbox360

I use to be a Playstation f-r-e-a-k..thought I would never go to the Microsoft Darkside. But after all the great games, online downloads (movies, games, demos, etc) that make up for hours of entertainment on Xbox live, its an easy decision.

Dont get me wrong, PS3 has ALOT of potental, but it seems the software developers are waiting on the sidelines, and working on other hardware applications.

yea even tough the xbox 360 has so many probs (red ring of death, happened to me) its deff worth it esp with games like gears of war, bioshock, halo 3, mass effect and forza 2. but dont get me wrong the ps3 is a monster just has no good games out yet, but ill deff pick one up as soon as the new metal gear comes out.

Xbox360 > Nintendo Wii > Connect Four > painting a fence > being stuck in 2hr traffic > PS3

Took the words right out of my mouth. It used to include Ninja Gaiden, but since NG2 is coming out for X360 (which I already have) ... Sigma can wait unopened on my shelf (got it for my birthday).

Just like all said abv... its 360 when you think of all the content and DLs you can get. MS points and Gamerscores, Arcade, budylist and messaging.

I have been fortunate enough not to deal with ROD... aside that its a great machine for the price and performance.

theres no comparison...

This is great. You can say what you want about ps3 vs 360, but the world is headed to only online gaming (hell we are almost there anyway). That said xbox live swings rings around playonline and ps3 for all support, functions and every damn thing else.

im not saying the 360 sucks. it far from sucks. but as far as technology goes. the PS3 is superior. it is built for the future and built to evolve with technology. 360 is going to be maxed out while PS3 is still truckin along. plus blu-ray has way more support than HD-DVD. and TDK just developed a 100gb Blu-ray disc. do you know what that means for video games? HD-dvd is maxed at 25gb.

exactly. I bet like 75% of them have never even played PS3 except like some stupid game at a video game store on one of the display consoles

Only beef I have with the PS3 is the bluetooth remote! I can't use my Logitech Harmony to control the blueray player!

i have owned a ps3 since xmas this past year, although it has amazing potential and great graphics i got sick of waiting for games that keep getting pushed back, also it seems like that every game out for ps3 is out for 360 so yesterday i went to best buy and walked out with a 360 elite and gears of war and forza 2, the detail in the games dont compare to the ps3 imo however it sure as hell feels nice to have that comfy xbox controller again. In the end the elite is such a better deal, i got a 120 gig harddrive, headset and hdmi calbe for 450, i got a 60 gig ps3 which came with a controller and a free blueray dvd for 600, imo XBOX wins .... so theres my 2 cents, sorry for the rant, and if anyone wants to buy a 60 gig ps3 in perfect condition with 3 games for 500 hit me up!!!!!!

PS3 for the win fellals sorry but did you guys know MIRCOSOFT ARENT MAKING any profit of xbox 360 Y???? repair cost OWNED them 360 SUCKS not a reliable system compare to ps3 you guys probably like 360 becuase of halo 3 thats it 360 cant play blue ray disc unlike ps3 and ps3 doesnt break down unlike 360 RED LIGHT OF DEATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody makes any major money more off consoles 7002iSciviC. Not as much as you may think. All the money is really coming from royalties from necessary software to run games, accessories, games themselves, etc. It's the little things that usually get the hardware company the money.

I'd rather get a system that's backwards compatible because there are games in my library I'm loathe to get rid of. I like being able to play old games on my new system, so the old system doesn't take up space. If the PS2 didn't play PSX games, I would still have my PSX, which would mean I would have to disconnect my PS2 everytime I wanted to play my PSX (unless I have a multi-output receiver, which I do) and all that -- it's convenient. That said, my PS2's HDAdvance kicks ass, don't think I'll ever sell that off.

I have no allegiance to systems, but I will buy the system should I deem it worthy. PS3 would probably be tops when Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out, just as it will when Final Fantasy XIII comes out. My PS2 is currently topping my Xbox 360 because I'm currently playing Bleach: Blade ... something 2. My Xbox 360 kicked all systems ass when I was playing Gears of War and Tomb Raider: Legend. So...I'm stuck in between four companies, but enjoying all of them!

to me, old school games seem funner to play. Games nowadays they take time making the game look good, but they forget about the gameplay/funfactor.

other than that, im assuming you have a ps3.. when was the last time you turn it on besides trying that bluetooth DVD player.

$500 for a system with minimal games FTL! the only thing thats saving the ps3 is that your able to play all those games in PS2... $400 for system and its not pS1 nor PS2 compatible?!? HA!

i played my ps3 every day and never once used the blueray dvd player, screw that blueray movies are way too expensive, i only had 3 games but plenty of demos, but like i said i bought the xbox 360 elite yesterday cuz im tired of waiting for the big games that keep getting pushed back
