Must have nintendo Wii games?

I just picked up a Wii tonight. 8 came into best buy and I did the illegal - I hid one in the back room.

This is highly frowned upon and you can get fired for it, but I've been waiting on this damn thing for months and everytime we get some in, I'm working. So I did it and damnit I'm happy I did.

Right now all I have is the wii sports that came with it. What games do any of you guys have that you 100% recommend? I want games that completely utilize the motion sensors - Hell, I'd even get harry potter if I'm actually in charge of the spells I'm casting and whatnot (Sorry, I freakin love those books though.)

I'm already set on the zelda game because I hear so much about it.. and probably the Tiger Woods PGA tour because golf is so fun on it. What other games are good though? I'm hoping for something more along the lines of a sword-fighting game or martial-arts kinda thing. Something where I can swing the wiimote around like a dork and have the guy on screen do the same.

Sorry for the ultra-nerdish post.. I just feel nerdy x 2 after writing that.

Paper Mario is pretty fun... I also liked NFS: Carbon. Resident Evil 4 is fun but I don't own that one, my buddy does... Personally I'm waiting for better games to come out... I only own 3 and 1 came with the system lol

I was looking at NFS Carbon, but I'm curious, does the game really take advantage of the motion controls? I can't see a racing game using that too much.

tony hawk's downhill jam is fun. so is rayman's raving rabbids... as far as the mini-game type games go. mario party 8 sucks, imo, but I haven't given it much of a chance yet. might want to rent a few before buying?

Games we own

Wii play - eh it's ok but you get the extra controller and i bought it from a coworker for $35 so it was less than the price of a new controller

Zelda - Must have, maybe the best launch game of all time for a console

Resident Evil 4 - Must have - takes all of the great elements of the GC/Ps2 versions and you use the controller like a gun

Mario Party 8 - my kids play it and everyone who comes over wants to try it

Super Paper Mario - My kids love it and the game is really cool how it can just flip to 3-D

The Bigs is my favorite game for the Wii.

I've been playing it non stop lately. It's freakin awesome!!!

I enjoy Red Steel. But I'm not a hardcore gamer so I don't criticize games very much.

Other good games are Rayman, Driver, Mario Strikers Charged, and Super Paper Mario.

I got the Game Pass at Blockbuster. $21.99 a month for unlimited rentals for as long as you want, only downside is that you can only rent one at a time.

I have a PS3 and a Wii, the Wii was getting played alot more but how much can you play Wii Sports? Mario Party 8 is fun except the whole game is a compilation of repetitive mini games. I'll just wait for the Wii Fit and play with the PS3 more instead.

NFS Carbon is fun with the Wiimote. I like it much better than using a thumb stick! I like the game, but once you "beat" it, you probably won't want to play it through again with different cars. Sad, really.

Oh, and the lack of Anti-Aliasing SUCKS, but that's with almost all Wii games. Dealable since the games rock.

I'm definitely getting 'The Bigs' and also the Tiger woods game. Sports are just awesome on the Wii. If only my golf shots were as amazing as the Wii made them out to be :P

Zelda will most likely be the first game I pick up.. my sister is buying Harry Potter tomorrow and I'll probably give that a throw as well, and then maybe The Bigs next.

just buy a WiiKey (google it) and mod the Wii, then get any game you want..you will need to know how to solder..

My buddy just got a wii the other day and now i think i want one. I got the 360 but havent touched it in a while since gears of war and fifa 07.

I am interested in getting a wii and then getting it modded, but i guess yesterday a lot of small modding shops got taken down so that might be a problem for me

Want to sell your wii? I'll buy it!

I've had my Wii since launch and I love it (although my 360 currently gets a little more love). I have quite a few games since I was forced to buy 5 for my bundle (I got the last one, so it was all good). I can really recommend: Zelda, CoD3, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Super Paper Mario, and Mario Strikers Charged. Madden 2007 goes in the "okay" section, but it all depends on if you're a sports game fans or not. I have a few other games, but not really ones worth mentioning.
