Thanks for the replies.. sorry for the belated response, was out of the country for a bit.

I'm a little apprehensive about soldering crap onto my Wii's mobo. I cracked open my PS1 when it first came out and did this and ****** it up.. probably due to me only being like 12 at the time.

I'm suprised people keep suggesting paper mario.. I bought that game for my little sister since she's in love with mario (I also really like the mario for NES) but I think paper mario just kind of sucks.. WAY WAY WAY too much text that you have to read through and I couldn't find a way to skip past it. I came home about 30-40 mins after my sister first started playing it and she was still skipping through the convo.

The beginning of Paper Mario takes FOREVER. I hated that crap. But after that is gets fun. THere is a lot of text throughout the game and there isn't a way to skip it.

It's not fun until you get Bowser.

Just kidding. Yes, the text sucks, but the game itself is quite fun. Especially once you load up on pixls...ESPECIALLY Dashell....

question....i loved RE4 on gamecube...is it way more improved and more enjou with the new controls?

i feel funny picking up a wii for that shooter alone...im always in love with FPS

I never played RE4 prior to the wii. It is the best $30 I ever spent on a game. You'll figure out the controls quickly and the wii controller makes for some very precise shooting.

I picked up zelda today and I'm kind of disappointed.

I'm more of the person who just likes to jump in and play.. it took me two hours of playing just to get a wooden sword so I can smack bulls around.. and the sword and all of that doesn't even do what you do - a flick of the wrist and he just does the same attacks over and over. I thought it was going to be more along the lines of moving in the same direction you moved the remote.

I'm assuming this game is gonna take me at least a 100 hours to beat because it took me over an hour and a half just to do the basic retrieval things in the begging (cat and cradle).

Oh well, live and learn. Madden is likely my next purchase.. maybe tomorrow.

I Vtec - Don't give up on Zelda, once you get into a dungeon you'll start to feel the addiction and then want to beat it.

Also, Zelda has the best ending I've seen in a long time... at least in the past 3/4 years. Beating the game is VERY worth it, so put in your time.

I think it took me about 50ish hours all said and done.

Do you have to swing and flap your arms to play these games,or do you have the option to play the normal way?I love Nintendo systems,but that funky controller keeps me from getting a Wii.

Some people just like to "get into it" and do all of the excessive motions to simulate real life sports / sword swinging / etc...

However, it detects wrist movements very accurately. When I was playing Wii Sports Tennis vs this girl, she was standing up swinging full body style and I just sat on the couch and flicked my wrist and had no problem beating her.

my favorite games are Wii bowling and Tennis (i got an 1850 as my score in bowling), Resident Evil (have always been a fan of it since ps1), super paper mario, and mario party 8.
