Yeah, I hope your cousin does get it, then I can stash it at my house for a while.
I wish it was like that also. If I was gonna make it I would make sure its so realistic that after driving the car in the game you would be able to jump in the car in real life and it wouldn't be much different.

Meh, i'm a huge GT fan, but that vid didn't impress me much. Same old, same old. At least it will have Ferrari this time around.

Absolutely. Because not only are you getting the console to play what is arguably the greatest racing series of all time, you're also getting a Blu-Ray player which many consider to be better than 90% of the stand-alone players out there.

I picked one up yesterday. After the 2 hours of setting up all the shit, downloaded the GT5 video, played Ninja Gaiden Sigma (hooked up to my TV with HDMI) and watched 300 on Blu-Ray.

Unreal. Worth every penny imo. Just too bad not many games yet.

It may be the greatest racing series of all times based off of sales and fans, but it is not even close to being actually one of the best racing SIMS. It was great until Forza came out, and as far as physics go the GT-series was blown out of the water. GT4 was arguably one of the worst (if not the worst) in the entire franchise based off of physics and realism, IMO, and as a result I won't be buying it. The cars lack any and all feel, drive like boxes, and I laughed my ass off when I watched people trying to do burnouts and just drove in circles. That was the final kicker for me. I sold my PS2 and GT4 after that and bought an Xbox 360.

At the same time, though, the GT series has features that I would kill to have in Forza. Those are having that many tracks, and the fact that the opposition changes every time you do the same race over again. Neither of those features are available with Forza, and it's definitely annoying. I like the idea that there will be that many cars on the track, too. Assuming they fixed the terrible physics that GT4 had, it has the option of being a damn-good game. I think they'll focus a lot more on it now, too, since Forza is out. They aren't the only one racking up huge sales, anymore, and they have competition.

At the end of the day, though, GTR2 blows them all out of the water. lol

Well, personal opinion I guess. I found Forza 2 to be rather bland, and I wouldn't even put it in the same league as Gran Turismo. The only feature I would like from Forza in GT is the damage.

I don't see how damage, ability to change body parts, swap engines (and drivetrains, now) and the ability to use one of the most advanced skin editors in a racing game (probably ever) is bland? That's before you add in the fact that cars actually feel like cars in Forza, you can race online (for ranking, money), you can sell cars online, you can download setups online, you can watch other videos online, you can enter into tournaments online, etc. Bland I think is the last word that would come into my mind when it comes to Forza. Sony ignored what people truley wanted in GT and Turn 10/Microsoft just happened to be listening.

Anyways, it's all down to a matter of preference so this is kind of a pointless argument. I'll shut up now, I promise! lol

I'll let it be known, though: I know that people will like GT more and it's purely down to opinion at the end of the day. I was a die-hard GT/Playstation person until I got sick of the same game with updated graphics being released. Forza just happened to come out, and I've been with the Xbox camp ever since.

I do look forward to the release of GT5, though. I really want to see what this sucker does this time around!

If you think 300 looked good on Blu-Ray, you need your eyes checked! I went and got it the day it came out and was pumped to watch it! I got home and put it in and I swear to God I've seen better VHS movies!

If you wanna see a Blu-Ray that will blow you away, get Crank, Blackhawk Down or Planet Earth.
