Race physics feel a lot different. It feels like you can spin out easier on Forza. Also, you can practically drive on the grass on GT and it'll be really forgiving, but not on Forza.

looks kinda boring if you ask me.... i don't see any improvements other than making cars a little wider....

sure they have better cars but that doesn't make a game... they need to add elements.... like crashes, car damage etc to make it a better game :P

Maybe we can even expect it in Q1 2009. I've kind of got used to the delays though, if they want to take more time to make the game better, then I'm all for that.

I read an article that said they were working on the 8th gen for the game, I tried to find it again, but couldn't. I'm sure our ride will be in the game.

Truth. I think Forza and GT have their similarities in that both are sim-racers, but I like the physics and art style of GT better than Forza. In fact, the only thing Forza does better than GT is the online aspect. Since Forza is the only current-gen sim-racer out though, it wins as the better game by default.
Driving with the wheel on Forza 2 is so fun!

How many virgins and lambs must me sacrifice to make *that* happen?

Also, GT doesn't need crashes and such to make it a fun game. The fun part is the simulation aspect of the car's behavior, because you don't play, you drive. I will admit that crashes will make it funner, but I personally don't think it's necessary.

Now, as far as buying a PS3 for this game. Hell yes. Well, actually, I'm really interested in buying it because of MGS4, Ninja Gaiden: SIGMA, and GT5. Now that Ferrari's in it, that list may have to be shuffled in terms of order though....

yea what a bummer that this type of game also seems to be released later than its anticipated date...but as far as i've seen they've always been worth the wait

Well, if Polyphony and Logitech are smart about that, they'll only enable certain types of transmissions with certain types of cars. Like, you wouldn't be able to use the 6-speed with a BMW M5/M6/etc. but you will be able to use paddle shifters or sequential manual.

Exactly. The point of Gran Turismo is to be a simulation (minus the crashing, etc), so why can't you drive the car the way it's supposed to be driven? With the mass-load of storage data that the BluRay discs are capable of, it would be smart to use that storage medium to enable transmission locks on certain types of cars.

Yeah, I hope your cousin does get it, then I can stash it at my house for a while.
