Wii Outsells PS3 5-Fold...in Japan!
Sony's game division posted an operating loss of 232 billion yen ($1.91 billion) in the year ended March 31 due to hefty start-up costs of the PS3, dragging down Sony's overall profitability.
Sony sold 45,321 units of the PS3 in May, compared with 251,794 units of the Wii. In April, the ratio was four to one in favor of the Wii, according to Japanese game magazine publisher Enterbrain. In the United States, the Wii was the top-selling new console for the fourth month in a row in April, with Nintendo selling 360,000 units, while Sony sold 82,000 units of the PS3 and Microsoft Corp. sold 174,000 Xbox 360 machines. And to make matters worse, Sony is going to lay-off employees in the US gaming division. However, Sony's stock has been relatively unaffected. |

When these next gen game system where first announced, i remember it was always PS3 vs xbox 360. Then the Nintendo Revolution was announced (later being renamed the Wii)
Its funny, the PS3 and xbox 360 are so high tech compared to the Wii. But i guess this proofs that Nintendo still has it! My brother already has a xbox 360 and hes going to be getting a Wii this summer. Wii > xbox 360 (only because of Gears of War and Halo 3) > PS3 IMO. |

now if only I could just find a Wii in the U.S., then we'd be getting somewhere. waited in 2 lines on some random winter mornings... didn't "win" a ticket to purchase so I eventually just gave up. Actually, I haven't even tried for quite awhile, wonder if they're easier to get now!?

I have been able to purchase 3 diffent Wii's from 3 different shops with 2 of them being on the same day (one from toys r' us and the other from gamestop) and the other one was on the release date (purchased off a guy in the target parking lot). It is not that hard to find, just ask a salesperson at any place that you think would sell the wii.

toys r us had it on sale yesterday...mu uncle got a hold of one, another controller and mario party 8....i dont even remember the last time i played my ps3...
in the long run the ps3 will save u more money because of the blu-ray technology....cheaper than most blu-rays today (which cant be used as a gaming system) and has the 1.3 HDMI port that consists of billions of colors with a 1.3 HDMI HDTV rather than the millions of colors it will show on a 1.2 HDMI HDTV.... |

wii < ps3 > xbox360. ps3 has the best games and graphics. I comes with a blue ray player and has everything you need. wii gets really boring after a while and the graphics arent great. xbox 360 is alright i guess. i am not being biased because i have all three.

What great games are out for the Ps3? Oh...by the way, you can buy a $299.99 bluray player now....the xbox 360 by far has the games that would make me consider buying a system....personally, I'm happy with the Wii. Although, I'm not really a hardcore gamer anymore. ![]() |

I really hope you are not being serious. Sony has only one good game out on the ps3, Rfom. I have all three systems as well, and for me it goes 360>wii>ps3. The wii is really cool at first, but once you get over the whole this remote thing is awesome, it gets really boring. The wii has zero online gaming right now, and it will be like that for awhile. The ps3 has no killer software for it right now, I use it for a blu ray player and that is really it right now. The 360 has all the good games plus the best online gaming. |

We had a Best Buy that opened recently and they had one Wii.I picked the box up and looked at it,but didn't buy it.I should have bought it and auctioned it off on e-bay or something.I haven't seen any at Wal-Mart,Target,etc.Anyway,I used to love video games, but either I'm getting older,or the new stuff just isn't enough of an advancement over the old to interest me.I remember going from NES to SNES and it was night and day.Same thing going from SNES to PS1 an N64,but PS2 and Gamecube were less impressive as far as how good the games were.
