Just picked up a Wii. Any mods/secrets I need to look into?

Well, I"m not a video game regular by any means. Last system I owned was the SNES, but for some reaon I was drawn to the wii. It just looks fun as hell. My fiance & I picked the last one BB had up this afternoon and I'm updating it right now. I'm trying to find mods/secrets. Going to do some google searches, but thought I'd ask here, too.
?

I dont know any of the mods as i didnt not have mine over a month! I was playing Zelda and got about half way through it and sold it. Dont get me wrong, it was awesome!!! The minimal time i have for video games now is for my DS Lite. Im glad that Nintendo crushed it over Sony because people didnt expect it. At one point they were outselling PS3 10:1. I love electronics but the Wii is an innovation with its play control and it is still hard to find. Have fun with your Mii's!!

What games you get with it? I'm going to get Super Paper Mario VERY SOON.. I heard it's the bomb.

You gotta get Zelda, absolute phenomenal game.

Things you should get: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Paper Mario (Gamecube), Super Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros. Melee, gamecube controller + memory card

yay Paper Mario!

EDIT: I'm gonna do this to all my Wii remotes!

Paper Mario is good.

Zelda is good.

Cooking Mama is fun although a little bit short.

There's some doctor game that is good also but it can get frustrating.

Monkey Ball. I haven't played the Wii version but Monkey Ball for the other consoles was always pretty good.

Metal Slug is great if you loved Contra.

If you have friends... get Rayman Raving Rabbits it's one of the best multiplayer games out for the Wii and it's hilarious too.

Paper Mario is a great game!!! That is one thing the Wii is lacking, a slew or great games.

In due time...they still need to get more units pushed!!!

It plays all Gamecube games and is compatible with the Gamecube controller and memory card. With that in mind, I'd say it already has a bunch of games out, especially to one who doesn't own a Gamecube.

Doesn't seem too hard to me, then again I'm more mechanically inclined. It's just desoldering the factory LEDs and soldering on different LEDs.

Right right...

Edit: I meant to say "new games". Resident Evil 4 FTW. I liked that game allot for the cube!! Something about blowing Zombies heads off with a shotgun is a good stress reliever...

Thw Wii is backwards compatible with the Gamecube games, memory cards, and remotes. If it was on the Gamecube, it can be played on the Wii.
