I'm hitting Target for the Wii at 7:00 (they open at 8:00).
There was one other guy there last Sunday at 7:15 but an employee came out around 7:30 and told us there weren't any.
Oh, man, my heart is pounding already... Must control the adrenalin!!!
I changed my mind... 6:30.

Well, 6:30 wasn't early enough. There were lines at Best Buy and Target when I got there and some even camped out last night.
Target had 20 units and I heard that Best Buy had around the same.
Time to clip a picture out of the sale paper and put it in an IOU envelope!
If Nintendo would have made three times as many they would have sold every single one.

The Wii has price and those cool controllers going for it! I can't believe on Black Friday the Wiis were in piles stacked waist high (in Best Buy Long Island), but everybody was too busy focusing their efforts on the PS3 (I wish I bought a couple)! I know Best Buys in NYC/LI receive their weekly UPS shipments on Thursday morning and afternoon (that's how I got the PS3) and the Nintendo Store in NYC (Rockefeller Center) sells off 100 a day (even though they'll tell you they've run out -it's BS, there are more downstairs but they don't want to completely deplete themselves). If you go the Nintendo store route, camp out no later than 5am (they'll stamp you hand and give out purchase bracelets around 8am). They just started the hand stamping thing because people were selling the bracelets off for $$$$$$. Anybody in the Long Island area want a 20Gb PS3?

Congrats. I guess they are easier to get in some parts of the U.S. than others. To date I've bought 13 PS3s and 12 Wiis all with minimal effort. I just walk in the stores around 10-11am after UPS and Fedex do their rounds and most of the time they either have one or the other.

As for all this Wii vs. Xbox vs. PS3 I'd have to vote on the PS3. I like my 360, but I seriously thing the PS3 just has better potential. Resistance is the only game worth playing right now (Fight Night is a close 2nd), but the 360 launch lineup was just as weak if not weaker IMO. I'm more excited of the upcoming games for PS3 than the 360 although I'm sure I'll get BioShock.

I've passed GoW so now I'm moving on to Zelda plus my son loves Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii (those are 2 must have games for all those getting a Wii).

Went to every single store that was supposed to get them at 5 am only to be told "sorry but you're not gonna get one you're too late"...I give up, I think I have a better chance of winning the lottery right now...

Sorry, but my last PS3 (as of now) just went up on ebay starting at 2pm pacific for a 1 day auction. I keep buying them everytime I come across them since I know people ususally will pay more for them (yes, I'm evil I know).

The funny thing is that I make just as much profit for a Wii then I do a PS3. Both usually sell for $100-$200 more, but people seem more willing to pay twice as much for a Wii as they justify it as spending as much for a PS3.

thanks guys i just got the wii this mourning i was number 20 something and they had 35.. i waited for 5hrs.. man, i came out there at 4am and by 6am there were like 100 people.. they got bad notice that they wont get a wii because they had 35.. This was at Toysrus.

Today alone I spent the ENTIRE day in every Best Buy/Target/Walmart/EB Games/Gamespot from Erie to the whole North Hills and West Hills of Pgh looking for one. My wife camped out Sunday morning at the local EB Games from 4am to 10am, she was 10th in line and they had 9. It was BS though, one family bought 3 (the Dad, the Mom, and the 7 year old) which is crap but they allowed it since it was three seperate transactions. The night the Wii was released I waited in line 2 hours to see the last one go 4 people in front of me. I have been looking non-stop. I'm to the point now that I'm mad at my kids for not asking for something you can actually buy. I will NOT pay over retail on E-Bay even if it comes with Jessica Alba. X-mas sucks, more this year than usual.
I heard 8 out of 10 PS3's have been returned for problems, and Sony is charging for the fix. Surely this can't be true!!! Anyone else hear this? I don't want one anyway, but thats crazy. I J U S T N E E D T O F I N D A Wii!!!!

I TOTALLY FEEL UR PAIN...I spent countless hours looking for one and still have no wii...they do the same crap everytime a new console is released...and I'm not going to pay more than the retail price for one...it's not that important to me to have a Wii (well it is but I'm

right now)...good luck hopefully you can get it for your kids before Christmas...
