How do i figure out what my buddy number is? I got the wii for my kids but got hooked and made my own mii character

what can we do so far? oh yeah, did you guys do the software update? I'm scared to do it because I heard it could brick your wii and they have to send you a new one

I got the update before I knew about people "bricking" their Wiis. Mine works perfectly fine and my Wii is up-to-date. But, do be careful....cuz you never know.

Like NightKidsGTR said, I updated my Wii as well and no problems as of yet. This is what I heard going around: the reason why the systems were corrupted was that the latest Wii didn't get the firmware update during the production due to the time constraint, but the first batch did get the update. If you were the unlucky individual who got the former and tried to update it, the system will crash. Others who are impatience and decide to turn-off the system during the update will break the system too.

Back to topic, I'll get my console number when I get home later tonight. Good idea hoanger.

What game do you guys have so far? And can we play any with each other?

I might pick up ultimate alliance or red steel or monkey ball today... and some more controllers. The Mii's are so cool too, its awesome making a character! So many choices man.

Wii > 360 > PS3

As for online play, the first first-party game would be the Pokemon game that's coming out. Nintendo has said that they would get the online dev-kits to third-party developers in 2007.

As for games, I now have, what I refer to as, the "Ultimate Bundle": Madden 07, Zelda, Call of Duty 3, Trauma Center, and Tony Hawk Downhill Jam.

at my work (toys r us), we started giving out preorders close the beginning of the year... march-ish. thats when it wasnt even advertised yet. people who were on the ball came in and did it.
and then like a month before it came out, thats when nintendo and sony decide to advertise it and thats when we were sold out of preorders lol.

there should be another batch before christmas.
