Wii anyone? - Page 4

Todays is the big day guys, my wal-mart is getting 20 units, and i don't think there is anyone waitting in line here, for the PS3 there was only 10 people inline and they only had 2 systems, so am sure i will get a unit if i go 30 minutes early

i will try to pick up zelda also.

Got mine. Camped out for 15 hours, was 2nd in line at Target.

Bought Zelda, Wii-mote and nunchuck

Lineups here were much worse than the PS3 lineups........over 100 ppl in line at Best Buy the day before the release for 50 units

If you are serious about getting a unit I'd go much earlier than that. I'm sure other people are thinking the same as you.

As a sidenote, I'm up to 8 Wii's and still trying to get a few more.

My friends and I sort of camped ToysRUs. We scouted the local Targets at 6pm, 8, 12am, and 2am. There were only 4 people each time so we figured the lines wouldn't be bad and would get up at 5 and head out then. We got a call at 5 that woke us up telling us the lines at Target were already nearing 100. Whew.

So we got up, decided we'd abandon Target and we'd hit ToysRUs while some friends of ours would hit BestBuy and if one didn't work out the other could grab two tickets. Interestingly between the 3 hours we were home before we headed back out for good, someone backed into our friend's car and completely shattered his front grille.

Well as it turned out there were only 7 people in line at the ToysRUs that was less than a mile away from the Target. So we pulled out some chairs and chilled out and a little after 7:30 they handed out tickets and my friend got his. We've been playing it all day and it has been a blast so far.

I got mine from some guy at target. He bought 2 of them and sold me one of them for $30 more than what he purchased it for. I got the new Super Monkey Ball game with it because I was a fan of that game since Gamecube. I also heard they are sending out another shipment which should be in stores by Monday.

Grabbed mine this morning! I headed out to about 3 different Targets; all packed (they weren't packed at 2 am!). Headed to Fry's as a last resort since they were selling the bundle (system, Tony Hawk, Monkey Ball, Rampage, GT Pro Series, and Madden 07). Got in line around 7:30-ish. The manager came out and started the list at maybe around 8:30. He gets to me and I'm #30...then he walks back to the store. I got the last one! WHOOOOO! I tried to sell it for a few hundred; no takers. Anyway, got my system than had to work all day so I'm gonna set it up in a few. WHOO HOO!

Wii friends list, anyone? hehe

You will need a LAN Adapter that connect through the Wii's USB. You can buy it from http://store.nintendo.com

is the only way through nintendo or can i get it at futureshop or something?

I just got one. The Toys R Us by me got 17 in today (monday morning). Last I heard they still have 13 left. This is the Toys R Us on Metropolitan Ave in Middle Village NY. (Last count was at 11:30 am)

Got mine Saturday night was the 1st preorder at my EB. The kids love the wii sports and I had a lot of fun playing with them. Got the unit zelda and a nother controller/nunchuk. Very happy with it. Waiting on better video cables though

Nintendo has released component video cables, which is nice since composite hasn't cut it in consoles since the PS2.

so i got the WI-Fi connector and it seems as though the weather and news channel is not out yet.
one of them is out on december 27 or something like that
and the other is in january
too bad theres no release date for the internet channel

has anyone figured out how to do buddies and stuff?

anyways, who has zelda? how far are you?

whoo hoo! Thank God for Target's "no receipt" exchange/return policy (they let you do 2 "non-receipt return/exchanges" in a 12-month period). As I said before in this thread, I purchased a bundle @ Fry's Electronics that came with Madden 07, Super Monkey Ball, GT Pro Series, Rampage Total Destruction, and Tony Hawk Downhill Jam. With an Exacto knife and a hair dryer, I managed to remove Fry's crappy price tags and headed off to Target.

The first Target I went to had 1 Zelda left, so I traded in my GT Pro Series for that. Went to a second target and traded in my Monkey Ball and Rampage Total Destruction for Call of Duty 3 and Trauma Center. So my bundle has now turned into, what I like to call, the "Ultimate Bundle":

1 Wii System
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Call of Duty 3
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Madden 07
Tony Hawk Downhill Jam
