X-box 360 ?'s
Hey everyone,
I just bought an x-box 360 and the girl at the register got me really paranoid saying stuff like 'that thing f's up a lot ...people always bring it back and we replace it...would you like to buy the warranty for like $50?' I ended up not buying the warranty b/c I figured they just get that extra money from people....so my question is how long have you guys had your consoles and has it ever given anyone problems? stopped working? etc...all responses would be appreciated...thanks in advance... |

I picked mine up the night it came out - no problems at all.
However, my friend picked one up a few months later and 70% of the time it wouldn't even turn on. He called about getting it replaced and the guy gave him a quick fix.. didn't make sense but it worked for the most part. That was about 2 months ago and it's only messed up once since then. Even when it messes up now he just turns it off and back on - good to go |

ive had mine for 2 months and only had 1 problem: once when i turned it on everything was in big green and red pixels. i turned it off and on again and it was fine. i guess as long as u make sure there is a lot of space around it then it should be okay. or you can buy the cooler that attaches to it and fans cool air into it.

It's funny..those little Halo fan boys still think that the Xbox is God's gift to gamers.
Yes, PS2's had problems too, but at least they are working out the kinks in the PS3 before they rush to release it before the Wii. If Microsoft had done the same, there probably wouldn't be so many problems.

I really like my 360 as entertainment device. Not so much as a console just yet. There aren't many games out I like, but I had to get a 360 for Forza 2 and Halo 3 if nothing else.
But I really like streaming music and pictures off my mac and being able to stream video off of the PC. Downloading game demos is cool too. As far as the PS3, well, I wish Sony luck, they haven't had much so far. |

Kinda like Sony took their time with the PSP. Oh that's right PSP had issues at launch. Oh wait so did the PS2, that's why Sony made no less than 14 different versions of it. |

I think as of now most of the bugs should be worked out. I purchased a few at launch and sold them all either locally or on ebay. I made sure I purchased and extended warranty after hearing all the horror stories of 360s crashing or catching on fire. That way whoever bought it would have atleast some options if problems arose.
I purchased one for me early this year after most if not all of the bugs were worked out. It's a nice system, but unfortunately not a great game lineup. Probably spend more time on Xbox Arcade Live. As far as the Sony/Microsoft debate goes they both have their pros and cons. I've always liked Sony's game lineup and exclusives better than Microsoft. I already have a few PS3s on pre-orders just to be safe. |
