There's no reverse

I'm not sure if there is a thread on this already, but I haven't been able to get my car into reverse. Everytime I put the gear into reverse, it would slide right out like there is no such gear as reverse. Also, when "spirited driving" 2nd gear would also not engage and car would just revv without going anywhere. Does anyone know what the problem may be? I have a TWM SS w/ Cable Bushings. Thanks.

Short shifter and bushings, i'd say check your linkage engine side.

Well you just can't buy that piece. You need to buy the whole linkage cable set up. Which is the two cables that run from the shifter to the tranny. It cost me 130 for the cables and 4 hours with brakes and not knowing what to do. So good luck. I always warn people about this.

The same situation has happened to many of us I hear. Mine happened this morning. Now I got to take a trip to the dealership and hope for the best.

i broke mine because i lifted the cable to high and it snaped the plastic piece that keeps the cable straight. this is what people have also been doing when they install the cable bushings.
