quick question

okay so i installed the ss kit and the bronzoil cable shifter bushings today. i dont understand why in the instructions i received, it said that if you were not able to get the cable bushings into the bracket for the shifter cable, to loosen the mounting bracket (mounted on tranny) instead of just putting the cable bushings on the tranny then put the cable bracket over it? all you would have to do is just twist the cable slightly. also, the feel of the shifter is extremely direct. much harder to get into each gear, is this supposed to be normal? it feels sort of like the s2000 shifter when i test drove it. also, third gear also seems like it wants to pop out much more than before.

I'm not sure if you're complaining or raving, but the S2000 is pretty much the epitomy of a perfect feeling shifter... so I'd say "yeah" what you described is normal.

I purchased the entire TWM kit, and to me, the shifting is so much more precise and enjoyable. Not quite S2000 precise, but way better than the stock shifter. My third gear feels secure, but I better not jinx myself

im not complaining. i like the feel, but i want to make sure that's not a side effect of some installation wrong that will break something in the future. i want to make sure that what im feeling is what im supposed to be feeling because i've never had a ss or a bushing kit before. so it's like experiencing something for the first time, never knowing what to compare it to, so i dont know whether it's norm or not. as for third gear. it's getting stuck in limbo again, it's in between the shoved all the way in and in neutral position. this probably becaues it's snowin over here....
