Ordered the ss, base and cable bushings, as well as the satin M1 abrams. I'll start off with saying I used the cheapest shipping available package shipped out Monday and I received it on Wednesday. Package was very thoroughly packed, nothing was loose or moving around in the box at all. Installation was a breeze and the included instructions are spot on, do yourself a favor and loosen the console before you drop anything down there, much less aggravation. The M1 abrams satin (silver) is a perfect match to the silvery gray of some of the EX's interior, looks like it should be there. I only ran into one problem but it had nothing to do with any of the products I ordered, but with my big hand and cramped space under the hood. While removing the intake box the rear mounting bolt is a bit hard to reach by hand. Also trying to find the proper angle to remove the lower portion of the box had me cursing up a storm. Awesome products, awesome end result, 0 problems, awesome job TWM Performance.

I very much agree, the black machined finish with the black/red alcantara shift boot looks sweet. I say I'm pretty much done with anything relating to the shifter.

After owning the 8thgen for 2 years (06 model).. I've bit the bullet and decided to place my order.
I ordered the SS and the M1 abrams in gun metal.. It's been shipped out and is scheduled to be here either on the 17th or the 18th.. UPS keeps rescheduling it and I don't know why haha.

I've got a question though.. some people say its gun blue and some say gun metal. I've never seen the gun blue on your site.. which one did I get?

Thanks for the clarification! Do you happen to have any pics of it?

I was thinking of getting the mirror finish, but worried about it getting scratched up..

ok you asked for it....

i pulled out the second insert, i guess it's a lock or spacer of some sort...sits flush with the boot collar and about 1/2" lower.....perfecto

thanks ....i'm 110% satisfied with it. got me my csx cubby, auger boot, and m1 knobber.....perfect little combo there. the strut king dead pedal finishes off my interior and that's a wrap.

only thing i would change if i could would be the black shifter surround plate.

i need to redo this pic with its current height setting.....i took this pic before i took out the insert so it sat lower and up tight against the boot.

Yeah, I'm pumped to get mine now!

So these pics are when it sat higher, you mean? It can sit lower?! AHH haha that's wicked
what insert is this? Also, no locking nut right? It just screws all the way down?

there are 2 inserts that come with it....one for the threading (since there are different ones that can go inside the universal knob to make it fit any make) and a second one that i am assuming is some sort of lock or spacer.....i took out the lock/spacer to see if it would sit any lower and flush against the boot collar and viola it does......i turned it down as tight as it would go and it won't budge, since there are no numbers its orientation doesn't matter....

see...

dis.....

versus dis.....

ahhhhh, much better

All I have to say is WOW! I didn't think a shift knob would have such a dramatic impact on me, it's just a shift knob...But not this one. I saw this in my buddy Steve's car (0720Steve) and I was like daaaaaamn thats hawt!! I was hesitant at first to be spending so much money on a shift knob but, I decided what the heck if I am going to get one I might as well get the best. This is one of my favorite mods and the value I hold in this shift knob excedes the price I paided for it. Every shift feels smoother with this on and I didn't put in the spacer nut/thing so it sits nice and low. Excellent product and looks amazing in the car. If you are thinking about getting one just do it, you wont regret it. Thank you TWM Preformance for and outstanding product!!

I ordered a full ss kit for my '07 Si yesterday. I really appreciate the order confirmation email, and I REALLY look forward to receiving and installing this ss! I'm a little worried about the cable bushing install, though....
