Just wanted to let everyone know how great my TWM kit is! You should look at the Abrams in Flat Black Finish. It is great!

The car shifts soooo much better. Each shift is more "direct". I'll post some pics soon.

Thanks TWM!!

Just installed adapter + base bushings, and wow , what a difference!
It is like night and day from the oem shift feel, i love it!
Was very easy to install as well.

Now i need to decide on a shift knob, i have browsed many threads and i am still unsure of what to go with. I love the look of the Abrams, but i do not like that there is no display of the gears on the top of the knob.

Yeah the ss kit is great. I installed the base bushings and the ss shifter adapter, but haven't done the cable bushings under the hood. The shifting just feels much more solid. Want to get a heavier shift knob though, maybe type-r stlye.

Hey folks,

Here's my initial review of the TWM shortshifter and bushing kit. My wife bought me the TWM shortshifter, bronzoil cable bushings, and aluminum base bushings for $135/shipped from TWM's website on Sunday the 23rd as a birthday gift.

They shipped UPS from Canada on Monday the 24th. They arrived to me Wed. the 26th yesterday. I installed all 3 items today in about an hour. Fairly simple and straightforward if you're familiar with turning wrenches. I'd give it a 2 out of 10 on a scale of difficulty. Instructions provided by TWM were more than adequate for a novice to decipher. The parts themselves are not complicated and straightforward in nature. And the test drive itself, probably my best mod yet. If you don't have this kit or one similar to it, you don't realize just how sloppy the OEM shifting really is. The TWM kit makes your shifts feel rock-solid and more complete. Definetly a "performance" mod. And the 22% shorter throw is obviously noticable as well. In closing, I definetly recommend you make this your next mod if you haven't already done so.

-Cheers mates...

Its been almost a month now with my TWN ss and I must say WOW what a difference! I had an 03 SiR HB with a ss installed (and loved it!) so when I bought the si I missed that shorter throw feel. So it wasn't long after I bought the car that I went looking for a ss.
Very nice craftsmanship TWN and a very decent product. I definitely agree with everyone who recommends this mod.

well heres my mini review. ordered sunday night, got early wednesday, extremely fast shipping. Packaging was extremely professional, with everything wrapped and secured.

The install took me a little longer than expected because i dropped the bushings (which werent magnetic so i coundnt get them with my telescopic magnet thing), so i had to take the center console apart and wasted some time with that. i thought the base bushings were the hardest part because i kept dropping them while trying to screw them in. i highly suggest you take the ten minutes to remove the console because it gives you so much more room. The short shifter feels great! great product twm, i really like the more mechanical feel of the shifter and the shorter throws. I think this is the best mod for the money, and one of my favorite to date.

i didnt have time to install the cable bushings tonight because i ran out of daylight, but ill do that tomorrow and hopefully that will tighten up things even more.

next is a weighted shift knob.
i would definately suggest this mod to anyone. great company great product
