even with the SS installed it's pretty stiff. It needs more effort, but it feels good.

Hmmm, Mine felt smoother and easier after installing it. But then, my FG2 is a very early 2006 model, and the tranny seems to have gotten better on the newer ones.

i got everything installed except the cable bushing... it was getting too hot outside lol

all i got to say is, shifting has never been smootherrrrrrrrrrrrrr! the length differnce isnt that noticable to me, but the fact that my shifts feel smoother and more solid, is more than enough for me

thanks!

I'm still up in the air about the cable bushings. I think the small(cable) bushing tightens up the "tension" of the shift lever which I really like. My issue is with the big(cable) bushing. This cable bushing tightens up the shift throw action, correct? I'm not sure I like the added effort it takes to shift. I'm going to leave it(bigcablebushing) on for a week or two to see if it "breaks-in" or if I come to like the added effort. If not, I will swap it out back to the big stock bushing and leave everything else. Overall, I like the mod(s). Everything went on very easily, and the instructions were VERY good. TWM your service and quality is top notch! Thanks again.
The more I use it, the more I like it. Awesome products! Thanks again...

07 coupe si.

SS, Cable & Base Bushings.

Just installed SS and Cable bushings and boy can I tell a difference. Great stuff from TWM. Shift is stiff and smooth and the throw is noticably shorter.

well, here's mine. I didn't want to post until I got my shift boot as well.

I love the knob, it's freakin amazing. Not too big, not too small. The short shifter is amazing as well. A+ for TWM!

the knob is threaded all the way to the top. So basically it screws down really low.
No other way. I've been looking for a knob that does this and here it is.

what smaller insert? that black thing?
I didn't use that.. I have to use that silver thing though or else it won't thread onto the stick.
I want mine that short now!

weird..
both inserts are threaded. one is just like 1/4 size of the one that needs to be threaded. I'm going to go check now

EDIT: I was wrong. the black one is threaded on the outside but not on the inside - this is the small one. The bigger one needs to be used. I don't know how you got yours to sit so low. I'm pretty sure mine is screwed all the way down.

It's gunmetal. I had a skunk2 prior to this one and I wouldn't dare go back. TWM FTW

It feels awesome. It's not too big either.. the skunk2 is nice because it's easier to grasp, but you get tired of the feeling after a while.
you should definitely get it
