Just got my SS and M1 abrams shift knob today! That was pretty quick shipping.. I'm glad it came today cause UPS said it would have come tomorrow. My car is in the shop, but I can't wait to put it on!! I'll take more pics when I get it on as well, but here are the pics I have so far..
Super nice packing too, you get what you pay for. ![]() ![]()

Thank you TWM for the excellent service. I was very impressed with the secure way you packaged the products. The ss + cable&base bushings arrived a day ahead of schedule, but I just got a chance to install everything today. I really love the ss and the base bushings... I'm still up in the air about the cable bushings. I think the small(cable) bushing tightens up the "tension" of the shift lever which I really like. My issue is with the big(cable) bushing. This cable bushing tightens up the shift throw action, correct? I'm not sure I like the added effort it takes to shift. I'm going to leave it(bigcablebushing) on for a week or two to see if it "breaks-in" or if I come to like the added effort. If not, I will swap it out back to the big stock bushing and leave everything else. Overall, I like the mod(s). Everything went on very easily, and the instructions were VERY good.

Thank you for your feedback. The cable bushings shouldn't increase shift effort, they should only make the shifting action feel more direct with less vagueness. If you find the big bushing is increasing shift effort, the fit between the cable "eye" that goes around it or the pin that it slides on to may be a little too tight due to corrosion or debris. You could remove the bushing and clean out the inside of the cable "eye" and the pin with the sandpaper provided. Before doing this, try spraying a bit of penetrating lubricant on the pin and outer edge of the bushings and see if that helps. Thanks, Kevin TWM |
