I've got the Satin one as well. I was quite surprise by how heavy the 'stock' Si shift knob was, once it was removed.
I like that the TMW fills my hand a bit more, but it is DAMN COLD in the morning. ![]()

Here's the review:
Once I got both knobs together, the TWM knob was noticably heavier than the stock knob. You first screw a nylon insert onto the stick. There is also a height selection screw you can put in the shifter to stop the knob at a height of your choice. Using a tool provided with the TWM knob, I put the height selection screw in but I screwed it so far into the knob that it did not affect the height. The nylon insert never seemed to touch the height selection screw. You next take the knob and screw it onto the insert. I guess using the height selection screw would be a trial-and-error process. When it started tightening up on me, I was still three-quarters of a turn from getting the TWM logo facing the appropriate direction. At this time, I started getting worried because I had a Voodoo shift knob at one time which I tightened so much that it pushed the plastic ring at the top of the shift boot over the tabs on the stick which held it in place. I continued to tighten and it did not push on the plastic ring at all. Once I got the logo oriented right, it felt fairly locked into place, not as well as the stock knob with the nut, but good enough that I am confident that the knob won't turn unless I want to it to turn. The Voodoo shift knob I previously mentioned was quite easy to unscrew when it was tightened all the way. I then took the car for a test drive. The shifts do seem to feel slightly better with the heavier knob but that could be my imagination since I just spent almost $100 it. And no, it doesn't magically eliminate the 3rd gear notch. Also, the shift throws are a little shorter than with the stock knob since the nut underneath has been eliminated. It's not a dramatic difference though. The shifts are not as short as with a Voodoo knob but the feel is definitely a lot better. I think this knob is a keeper. The only thing I wish was different about it is the top. I think real Type R knobs have a curved top while this one is flat on top. That's just a minor complaint though. I think it looks better and performs better than stock. Is it a $100 difference? Well, that's for you to decide.

I personally like the round/ball style shift knob. I'm looking to buy a TWM M1 Abram, ARC titanium, or VooDoo shift knob. I want one that would allow me to have the lowest height setting and one that weight the most. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks!
