Yes, the discount is available to high school students as well. To receive your discount simply email a scan or digital picture of your valid student ID to studentdiscount@twmperformance.com. Upon receipt we'll send you your promotional code which you can then use to receive your discount.

Here's the link where you can find the short shifter once you receive your discount code: 2006 Civic short shifter

Simply enter the code during the checkout process in the promotional code box to receive your discount.

blaznhot_23: Thanks for your order :)

Thanks,
Kevin T.

Hi Guys,

You will still feel a huge benefit if you just install the short shifter. The weighted shift knobs are optional, but do create a smoother shift due to the extra kinetic energy they carry while in motion. Essentially, the weighted knobs help you engage the next gear and result in a smoother feeling shift. If you're curious to try one out but not sure when to buy the shifter and knob combo, wait until December since we're having a shifter/knob combo special for the holidays. Right now if you buy both together you save $15, but beginning December 1st you will save $25 on the combo.

I do recommend our shift knobs to anyone looking to reduce the shift knob height though, since they can be set to sit lower than the stock knob thanks to NTIS height adjustability.

Bottom line the short shifter itself is a huge improvement over stock, but if you're looking for a lower knob height or a smoother shift, I would recommend both the weighted shift knob and short shifter.

I hope this helps, feel free to give us a call toll free if you need more info at 1-877-655-0540.

Thanks,

Kevin

I installed the short shifter and base bushings yesterday. What a difference! it's soooooo much better! Zero slop now...Great product! I also have the cable bushings, however I have yet to install them...My only complaint is about the base bushing installation instructions. The instructions do not tell you to remove the center console and show it being worked around in the pictures. It is impossible to install the bushings without removing the center console. Not sure if I'm the only one but, it would have saved me some time and trouble had I known this going in...
